hi guys this is my first post in this great forum! i appreciate so much your work, there are a lot of genius in this forum!!

i think that this project is very interesting and funny, so i have decided to share with you my ideas and my creations.
first of all i want to share my Spiderman in black costume, to use as a special character if you want. in my idea it could be great a Superheroes team.







about the original players what do you think about to use caricatures of their face?
i have try to create a kobe's caricature for example

well as far as the menu art...i would love to add in game videos for the 08 version...

but as u said, we can do that later....if there are people that know how to create art for the other versions then me and George7 can supply those patchers with the art work so they can convert it

Harlem Globetrotters? And-1 Streetballers?

or maybe players form EA's NBA Street vol 1 2 and/or 3? like Stretch, Biggie Little, Dime (how are we going to make females??), bonafide...etc. maybe we can just hijack faces from that version of EA's game? is it possible? (is it possible to get face from Activisions Street Hoops for the And1 team for that matter?)

suggestion:
maybe instead of "removing" the FIBA teams
we replace "FIBA teams" with teams like NBA Legends, Celebrities, Harlem Globetrotters, And1 Streetball team, and EA NBA Street team
then we can just change the loc from FIBA World Championship to something like "NBA Special Tournament" or something to that nature

if art work can be done, i can help with the database for all teams and such

That big head looks pretty awesome. If we can't do that for all necessary players though then we'd probably have to give it a miss but awesome work.

onics: Don't know about caricatures (though that does look pretty funny!), but characters like Spiderman would be fantastic. Perhaps some of the NBA mascots, like Super Hugo, they were special characters in the original Jam series too.

KidJustin: More good ideas for special characters. Anyone up for giving them a try?

As far as other special teams go...maybe, if we can get the artwork done fairly quickly. That might be something for v2.0.

I was thinking about that too. The hair shape files for Taker are a bit of a problem when it comes to 2005 and 06 though.

In which art departments?
Courts,CFs,etc?
Is there anything specific?

At this point, I'd place cyberfaces for the special characters at the top of the list, along with a replacement jersey for the Free Agent pool (for playing against the special characters while they're still in the Free Agent pool). After that, maybe a Jam themed court and a custom glowing basketball. That'd give us the base of the mod, which we could release as a stable v1.0. Follow up versions could then add extra teams and other such goodies.

Oh, and a logo for promotional purposes but that's not quite as important as getting the stuff for the mod itself out of the way.

Another thought that occurred to me for the special characters would be people from the community, if you've got your own cyberface to share.

i like it to make our own CF's in that game...hahahaha

An idea for the logo would be sth involving the 2 games.NBA live and NBA jam.Maybe try to modify EA's fireball logo.
