As mentioned in the release notes, I'm using Maek's fatigue fix (the adjustments you've mentioned) to try and counteract the substitution problems in NBA Live 08. I'm sorry it's not giving you the results you want but it seems to be working out for most people so I'd rather keep the adjustments as they are.
