Re: Ratings Suggestions

Ibaka: It does seem a bit low. Easily fixed, no worries.

Lewis: Could probably stand to be a bit lower. I'll take a look at it.

Speights: I don't know about that. Most of his shots are coming within the paint. I'd only increase it slightly if at all.

Dudley: He's shooting a lot better so I agree an increase is in order.

Griffin: Move him where? He's still on the Suns roster. Usually I put anyone assigned to the D-League on the inactive roster, unless the inactive slots are all taken up by injured players.

Webster: Could probably come up a little bit. I'll make a note.

Evans: A bit of an increase is probably in order, yes.

Casspi: I'll take another look as he is shooting the ball very well.

Greene: Dunking possibly, rebounding seems about right for his numbers. Stamina I'll take a look at.

Duncan: It is a bit high considering he hasn't made a three in a few years, aside from the big one in the Playoffs a couple of years back. I'll think about it.

Mason: Thought I'd raised that in a previous update. I'll take a look at it.

Blair: I've made some updates to Blair that I feel are appropriate, I believe they missed the cut for v3.3 though.

Belinelli: Difficult call there as he's thrown down some pretty spectacular dunks in the past. I'll think about it.

Haywood: I'll consider it.

Arenas: Another tough call but I'll think about it.

Stevenson: A slight decrease is probably in order. I'll take a look.

Williams: His three point percentages doesn't really warrant a huge boost and is in fact identical to last year so I don't know about that.

No he's not. Check his stats: he's shooting 30% on the season, which certainly does not warrant a boost.

Re: Ratings Suggestions

My Bad,he was shooting 52,9 % from the Three in one of these weeks. :)

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Tue Feb 02, 2010 7:14 pm

rondo's dreb 75 & oreb 40, pass 90, drib speed and quicks 95. Can easily grab 10 boards. Good on offensive boards. K.Perkins Ins scr 80. a leader in fg%. Bron fg 73-75 (80 on 06) ,3pt 70, passing & dribbling to 90 & dreb 80 and decrease daware bt 60-70 & blk to 71 and hardy 92. Wade 3pt 62 & blk 74. i'll have more later...

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Tue Feb 02, 2010 8:38 pm

I don't know about some of those. Rondo's rebounding numbers don't really justify ratings that high, though he does have games with near triple doubles and yes, double digit rebounding games. 74 seems a bit high for Wade's blocking rating given his average and 62 is a bit high for a 30% three point shooter (29% on his career, so it's not exactly a deviation from the norm there). I'll have to think about it.

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Tue Feb 02, 2010 8:59 pm

i only say rondo is a 75 bcuz it is super difficult for the guards to get a triple double in the game plus he shouldnt get too many bcuz KG, Perkins, Pierce can grab boards too. My take on Wade is he can hit the three in clutch situations or if hes open and hes a better shot blocker than lebron.

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Fair enough. I'll certainly take it into consideration for v3.6. :)

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Tue Feb 02, 2010 10:33 pm

Thx 4 the consideration. I have a couple more players in mind but I'll post them later.

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Tue Feb 02, 2010 11:18 pm

No worries. 3.6 won't be out just yet, so there's certainly time for more suggestions to come in.

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Good. Now they i have more time on my hands I have more players.
:!: Ilgauskas 10-18 for threes on the season and has been hitting them since last season. Daware 60. Blk 65. Lower Jumping ability.
:!: Rondo Ins scr 75 bc he gets a huge amt of his pts in the paint at a high percentage. Same goes for Deron Williams, Rose and Paul.
:!: Nash atleast 72 ins scr bcuz he drives frequently to the paint.
:!: Amare Stoudemire 60 Daware bcuz hes a weak defender and gets blks and rebs based off his athletic advantage. He only avg like 8 rebs a game i think.
:!: Garnett lower strength, dunks to 75-80, fg 75, hardiness to 70 due to injuries and his rebs are down to 8 pg maybe high 80s. Daware and Oaware a little bit. Try to get him down to 90 ovrl.
:!: George Hill, Dragic and Darren Collison( asts up) have been playing well lately.
:!: Durant has been attacking the rim more maybe a 75 ins scr.
:!: Josh Smith 75 ins scr.
:!: Varejao hardiness 85-90 (tough guy), Daware up, Dreb and Oreb 90 or above (one of the best on the boards)
:!: Gerald Wallace 75 ins scr or more, Higher jump and Dunk rating, Daware up, blks up
:!: Antawn Jamison 3pt 75 and Oaware up. Hes the leader of the Wizards.
:!: Brandon Roy Passing up, Ins scr 65-70. Andre Miller ins scr up and oaware slightly up.
:!: David Lee Higher Fg, ins scr, rebs and Al Harrington Higher fg and 3pt.
:!: Aaron Brooks Higher stamina, oaware, passing, ins scr 65-70 and Ariza ins scr 75, Budinger Jump and dunk up
:!: Marc Gasol ins scr up, strength up, rebs up maybe same for zach randolph.
:!: Ron Artest not as productive offensively. A. Bynum DAware down (stays in foul trouble). Blks down and Hardiness down. Stamina down.

Thats all I have for now. :)

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Wed Feb 03, 2010 9:23 am

Try to get him down to 90 ovrl.

That's not something I do, overall ratings aren't nearly as important as they appear.

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Wed Feb 03, 2010 10:26 am

Yea I kno thts true but KG has to go down a little bcuz he is having a season low. He doesnt even look the same when he goes up for dunks. Hes not as explosive as he used to be.

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Wed Feb 03, 2010 10:32 am

Certainly, age and injuries are taking their toll and his production is down so it's probably time for a few of his individual ratings to come down. I'm not too concerned about the overall though, the way it's calculated in NBA Live sometimes you've got to just go with the results so long as the individual ratings are accurate.

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Wed Feb 03, 2010 10:58 am

I agree. lol When editing player ratings you almost never get the ovrl rating youd expect so it is pointless to aim for a specific ovrl rating.

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Wed Feb 03, 2010 11:03 am

Athletic, prolific dunkers often cause a problem with higher overalls than one might think is ideal given their other skills.

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Wed Feb 03, 2010 1:55 pm

Even though on nba live 2004 they basically had pretty much the same rating system you could have a player at 57 ovrl and they would still be pretty decent. You could also increase a players individual ratings w/o worrying if his rating would be too high.

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Wed Feb 03, 2010 4:59 pm

Quite true, it's changed from year to year. Of course the most important thing is that the game plays the way you want to - as much as any one release in the series will allow at any rate - but because the overalls are prominent they attract a lot of attention and a greater importance is erroneously bestowed upon them as a result.

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Andrew i was thinking for Pierce and Melo strength 75-79 they can finish with contact and back a lot of players down with ease. They may not be Bron but they are a handful in the paint when it comes to absorbing contact. Maybe Wade, Josh Smith and Iggy strength 70-74. They too can absorb some contact. Bosh also an 80 strength

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Fri Feb 05, 2010 8:40 am

Yeah I'll certainly take that into consideration. Thanks, noted. :)

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Wed Feb 10, 2010 2:31 pm

i kno i bother u all the time. I was actually wrong about asking to raise LBJ blk rating. I saw that he averages 1 blk a game and hes not amongst the top 50. Durant averages .9 blk pg but hes nowhere near a shot blocker. So Lbj is fine. Wade is top 50 at 1.2 blks pg. he probably should be a 68-70. Not a 74 as i said b4. :)

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Wed Feb 10, 2010 3:07 pm

68-70 still seems a bit high to me but I'll consider it, certainly more appropriate than 74 given the numbers. Thanks for the latest. :)

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Mon Feb 22, 2010 5:14 am

J.J. Hickson's ratings need to go up especially fg(he is shooting 56% and his rating is 45)
Inside scoring needs to go up
Strength needs to go up
And offensive awareness needs to go up

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Mon Feb 22, 2010 7:45 am

He has been playing better this year with the consistent minutes. Thanks for the reminder.

Re: Ratings Suggestions

Thu Feb 25, 2010 7:37 am

Brook Lopez has turned into an amazing offensive player so ratings such as fg, offensive awareness, strength, dunking, and inside scoring should go up. Here is a look at his stats http://www.basketball-reference.com/pla ... zbr01.html
Also, Courtney Lee's number is actually 6, not 41 :)
