Who here has stopped playing Live 08?

i played nba live 08 pc version for like 5 hrs... n i stopped playing

coz simulation is all over da place, game is unrealistic n half da players in da currebr nba playing r missing!

i might play it again once andrew puts up a roster patch n once ppl come up w patches to fix most of the problems everyone is experiencing.

i think this is prob da last nba live game i'm going 2 get... i've been playing it since nba live 97 n you'd think that ea sports will get it right after 10 yrs of upgrading a game each yr!

LOL..what can i say...i played it in my friend's pc..he offered me to install it in my own..but seeing the bugs..i never did install it in my pc..

I kinda stopped playing the 360 version. . .I tried some tweaks, it's alright. I hate the robotic players

Played 3 days on the ps3, then took it back in exchange. Shitty game.

I finally played a full game yesterday and I was just feeling bad for EA (really, I should feel bad for myself for buying it)...
I spent my time tweaking the sliders during the game, but it was just too crappy. The CPU's AI is worse than ever, I couldn't hit a fucking 3 no matter how uncontested I was, there was not enough fouls even after changing the sliders, and the stupid bugs like no rebounding after FTs or being randomly locked on one player were just too annoying...
Hopefully, someone will come up with a really good aiact to improve it, but even with that, this game can't be saved.

I played all the Lives yearly and about a game a day. Maybe I'm getting too old for this s*it or maybe the last 2 years sucked but I've stopped playing almost completely. I now play twice a month and only with human competitiion.

It also doesn't help this crap game's cause when games like Call of Duty Modern Warfare come out and kick the living hell out of it. I've played the single player about 4 times since I've gotten it. Awesome! C'mon guys, let's all leave and go to the COD4 forum.

How about, "Played it for 10 minutes and took that piece of shit off of my hard drive?"

I also have the feeling that i get too old for that kind of games.

What bothers me most is the dynasty mode. I don't have the time anymore to do 82 games a season. Cmon i don't want to play that many games and with these stats, it makes it even more senseless.

Without the dynasty mode i don't get the need for playing that game somehow. Live is loosing all his magic from year to year. They are still good, but when you played once 2k8 at a friends xbox, you don't wanna play NBA Live anymore.

I still playing it time by time. Once a week when i have time to do it.

Ive been playing 2k8 for the last month non stop and i forgot just how much fun a basketball sim game has been.

Been playing since November on my X360. It took some tweaking with the sliders at first, but now I'm enjoying every game of my Knicks dynasty

I've tried the demo of 2K8 and switching from Live 08 the graphics and overall presentation looked just :bleh:. Also the Isomotion control system does not agree with me. So I guess I'll be staying with Live 08 for a while

wow..i'm really shocked that there were people that bought this game for ps3.i understand those who play live on pc because it's the only game on pc but how stupid can you be to buy live 08 for ps3/xbox 360 when there is a game 43242345325345 times better than live.

I quited:D this game since it was released, played maybe few games and i was disapointed at all, game started to be boring after short time so i unistalled it, its not worth of anything, classic disaster of basketball simulation.

I'm surprised how many of you still playing this crap of a game. Nba Live 2008 PC is the best picture of whole EA company., just look what they did with other titles., EA will lose alot in future.

Yeah, guys make awesome patches with jerseys, courts and other things but i still have old ugly moves in game, old old and old dunks and layups, i've looked at them in 2006 since Live 2007 was released, who can change me something more like ballhandling and moves with the ball, dribbling and etc, i mean u can dribble on the same way years by years and its frustrated., sig shoots hahaha noone have sig shoots here cuz they fucked up almost everything and those sig shoots looks ugly and retarded, this game is soo poor really,

Dude, its the ONLY basketball game for PC. That's why people play it and patch it. No use bitching about stuff we already know. God Bless.

Yeah i know, kk, np with that, its only basketball game and its boring and not worth of playing cuz it seems that i cannot injoy when i'm playing nba live 2008. Failure of the year, disaster, most boring game since LIVE 95 on sega mega drive., whatever,you just play this game and pretend, i've turn around from this road and uninstalled it, curently playing Pes 2008 wich is a much better game and a bit more realistic if you are looking for realism in pc games., no more Live, no more EA and no more bad feelings and no more lies from them.

Classic teams are great with Bird, Jordan, Dominique, Magic, Kareem and many others. That's where I'm getting most of my money worth out of the game because I love the old school players and teams.

I'm having a blast matching up teams like UNLV vs North Carolina and watching Larry Johnson and james Worthy battle or LSU vs UCLA, Shaq vs Kareem battles....

I agree MM 08 out of the box isn't very good.

It takes a lot tweaking but once I release my file the game will move and play roughly 50% better than EA's out of the box game. Now that doesn't mean it'll be on the same level as College Hoop's in terms of game play.

But it will be more fluid and the players will perform much better on the court. It took me a lot of work but I think the MM 08 fan base is going to be really surprised at some of the improvements they see in the game play after using the file.

I love the atmostphere, graphics, players models and arena's. Now, with the little improvements I made to game play it'll be nice alternative game to College Hoops and one you can definetly enjoy now.
