GAMEPLAY or GRAPHICS ?

Gameplay, of course, but I honestly would not play an ugly game. If I wasn't so shallow, I'd be able to push myself to play classic games or older games that are considered great.

Gameplay just an add-on to the graphics? I guess you're entitled to your opinion but how a game plays, whether it is enjoyable or not and whether it achieves its purpose (in the case of NBA Live, representing NBA basketball) is something that is very significant to a lot of gamers. If the interactive aspect of the game is unsatisfactory then you're basically paying to look at the graphics, in which case you might as well watch a movie (or in this case, a real basketball game). But to each their own.
