i currently have live 08 for ps2 and im really disapointed with it. esp the rosters and player ratings. its like the just traded the players from their previous teams and ddint even bother to change the players numbers (ie rashard lewis having the same number as jj redick) also with some rookies having very high ratings, like portland's second round pick josh mcroberts is a 89 and phx's alando tucker is an 86. can you guys check if this is also the case in the 360? thanks

McRoberts is rated 66 overall and Tucker is rated 68 overall in the Xbox 360 version.

Just played my first online game with the 360 version. I must say it is the most fun I've had with a basketball game online since....well, ever. Can't wait for that 10 player mode patch, should be interesting to see what comes from it.

The kid I played liked to attempt to take a charge in the post, well with these new post moves I easily moved right around him for a layup or dunk.

He didnt know how to play defense so I got a lot of open drives to the hoop. Not cheesy freestyle a couple of times then dunk, but rather turbo straight for the hoop then dunk.

I played good basketball and won the game because of it. A lot of mid-range shots and a lot of passing.

Things I didnt like:
Amare's dunks are impossible to stop unless you get lucky.

The rebounding animations are plain idiotic. The ball finally moves good but the players dont know how to rebound for crapola.

I put Tony Allen instead of Rondo and man what a difference that made. He would go for a steal with Nash, miss, then I get a wide lane for TA to dunk all over someone. Also if I let the CPU play Nash with TA, it would swat pretty much all of Nash's shots. I dont really like this because in real life TA would get embarrassed if he played PG. But w/e a win is a win. :D

Heh I saw you online playing that game Bos vs Pho, Jao ;)

I usually suck hardcore against other people, so if you want another win let me know. lol

anytime you wanna play man, It'd be my honor to play with ya.

I just played a 2nd game which gave me the opposite vibe from the first. Some major lag issues, entire game was choppy and analog freethrows were impossible. I played against someone who was the Spurs, I was the Rockets. Pretty much, it felt like playing Live 07 PC without any AI updates. Parker down the lane ect ect ect. Parker Ended up with I think 38 points, Duncan got 4 and yea I think he dished it to Mano a couple times too.

He went up big after fouling Yao out, I really dont like how the game will "force" you to attempt a block shot when I was trying to take a charge with Yao Mizzle. I ended up coming back with good basketball techniques and missed the game tying buzzer beater at the end with T-Mac. So I lost a game to a damn cheeser but he knows he was in a game...that's for sure.

so how's offline multiplayer compare to 2k series?!? might be worth half a look if the game is real fun as a multiplayer game....
