Talk about NBA Live 08 here.

When I was playing a Dynasty with the Raptors the Bulls traded Ben Gordon to the Celtics for Kevin Garnett.

How would they have traded a player on such a small contract for a max contract like Garnett? Maybe I'm missing something, or retarded. Feel free to call me on either.

It could be a less frequently encountered bug where the CPU simply ignores the salary cap for the sake of featuring trades with itself. NBA Live 2004 had a similar bug where the CPU would accept a trade offer that heavily favoured it, no matter whether it worked under the salary cap.

I traded Philladelphia's 1st round pick [1st overall] for my 1st pick [14th overall]
And Indiana 1st pick [3rd overall] for my 2nd round pick.

I was Phoenix btw. I was suprised that they accept the trade.

during one of my first dynasties (btw i'm playing the pc version), mavericks traded jason kidd to the lakers for kobe bryant. the lakers didn't make the playoffs that year...

I really do not know because it was in the third season.
Serious I believe it was a bug.

One time in a dynasty, James, Bryant and Garnett was traded for mediocre players and then at the end of the season the three of them including some other star players just retired. Including some rookies such as Durant and Oden... -.-
Serious bug there.

In my dynasty.
Bosh (88) was traded for Nash (87)
Kenyon Martin (80) for Lebron James (97)
Mike Bibby (82) for Lebron James (98).

This was in a fantasy drafted dynasty, Lebron was traded to Boston, where Kobe was already there, Lebron is now averaging 9 PPG and Kobe is averaging like 36 PPG.

Big trades for CPU in my dynasty as of now is:
Melo for Rasheed
Stephen Jackson for Nene
K. Hinrich for Kwame Brown.

Fair enough except for Jackson and Nene...

Now that melo is out of the team, Jackson will fill his spot. Not a bad move for a CPU team... :)

(pc version) in my current first year of the wizards dynasty, cleveland traded lebron james to utah for carlos boozer.

is it just me or does lebron james get shipped around a lot? in almost every one of my dynasties, he gets traded by the cpu.

It's possible because I got a trade request from the computer: Detroit wanted Dirk Nowitzki from my Dallas Mavericks Dynasty and they are willing to give up Rasheed Wallace. I rejected the trade.

The deeper you are at a certain position, the more likely the CPU is to offer you a trade. It will also tend to seek out younger players with good potential.

The more talented (ie better rated) players you have at any position, the "deeper" you are at that position. For example, if you have three or four small forwards on your roster who are at least fairly decent, the CPU is more likely to make a trade offer.
