Correct. Plus, 2k7 has all of these and then some, smoother as well.
smooth doesn't mean it's good though. one of the many problems with the animations of 2k7 though is that you can't run out of bounds yourself, but if you pass the ball to a teammate, the silly animations will make you step out. it's a smooth animation, but it's not very useful. and those horrible post entry passes, especially if your guy is fronted... im always afraid it'll do the animation where the pass goes flying over your teammate's and head out of bounds.
I mean, honestly think about how many times you see certain instances in a 12 min NBA game and how many times you see it in a 5 min 2k game. it pisses me off every time my guard dribbling the ball completely falls over and and a seizure on the floor and turns the ball over. It must've been years since i've seen an nba player fall while dribbling and lose the ball like that. same with bounce passing the ball off a person's foot or off someone's back. this ain't AND 1 basketball so i don't wanna pass off of someone's back.

nba 2k7 still looks more life-like and natural when nba live 08 still looks like a video game but nba live 08 is getting there
just watch this nba 2k7 isolated post-play video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xo-nOM7OGmk
nba 2k7 still has better post play

Yeah the post play in 2k is far better in Live!! And you can actually guard it too and it's easy to contest shots. IMO 2k would be perfect if they would fix those stupid BLOCKING calls and reachin Fouls. . oh yeah and the horrble passing!!
As far as this video goes. . .Everytime I see a new Live Video I lose interest in the game, I hope to play this demo before I even cop this game!!! I hope they focus on some Defence next year. . Live is too Offensive minded

Are you serious? In that video I seen the same move and hook shot
about 8 times.
Also do that video of Live's post moves suppose to show you the defense?
It would defeat the purpose.

Thats exactly what I was thinking...Also, 2k has defense is not good either. I dropped 45 with Eric Dampier!!! In 5 min quarters on HOF difficulty. All I did was that stupid drop step over and over again, The drop step is more effective than freestyle superstars.

Man you people need to calm down. This video was purposely made to show the post moves, not to show the defense. It was obviously fixed up to show us the offensive post moves, so we can't judge Live's defense off this video.

I'm sayin, thats just like when the hotspots trailer came out..and bruce bowen made that shot with the guy there...everyone was saying theres no defense...but their not gonna make him miss in the TRAILER it beats the whole purpose

these go to moves will be nice and all but i am looking forward to seeing how the cpu plays
in nba live 07 pc,ps2,xbox with sliders, playbooks, and ratings you could improve how you want the cpu to play
nba live 07 xbox360 there is hardly any thing you could do to change how the cpu plays
i hope ea improves on its ai though
that would really help me enjoy the game
i just want the cpu want to be more competitive
that is probably why more people enjoyed nba 2k7 than nba live 07

2kfans always gonna say meh Live looks cartoonish and 2K looks real,ok whatever makes u sleep at night

...anyone who played Live07 in depth should know theres so many post moves in this game that are unexplored...considering i always play one videogame that being Live,im not surprised to see some of the post moves highlighted in Live08,they added a lot of up and under moves which were not represent in Live07...overall im very happy they gave us the option of shotfaking in variety when on the lowblock...

The whole time ive been saying im getting 2k8 for my xbox360, but each time EA puts out a new video im getting the urge to preorder Live!
Hopefully the PC version is somewhat nearly as good as these videos suggest.
Sun Aug 12, 2007 2:59 pm
You may be in for a disappointment there since the PC version won't be a port of the Xbox 360/PS3 version.
Sun Aug 12, 2007 4:10 pm
why can't they make it a port of the xbox 360/ps3 version? It would be well worth it if they did.
Sun Aug 12, 2007 4:15 pm
At the end of the day we're left to speculate since EA Sports haven't officially stated their position on this, but the fact that the PC version represents a small corner of the market is generally thought to be the reason. It's a topic that's been discussed at length
in this thread.

they did mention that there was to be more defensive moves in this game. this trailer is about post moves so they won;t miss any shots.
There is sure to be a defensive video too or tey wouldn;t have mentioned toning up the defense.
Mon Aug 13, 2007 4:13 pm
Im not really worried bout it being a port from the XBox360/PS3 version, my PC probably wouldnt be able to handle it.
