This simply looks amazing, look at that jersey texture!!
But the best thing is like Jing said, is that the player models look more accurate, Arenas looks like the real one (not like Dwyane Wade in last year's preview).
Well, this is quite encouraging, it looks a lot better than last tear, lets hope that the gameplay will be as good.!
you gotta ask if those graphics are actually from the game or from the intro movie...
Tue May 01, 2007 5:33 pm
so what? the screens DO look amazing. we, pc users DON'T get anything out of this, because they will only update roster and have NO graphic improvements. only xbox users benefit from NBA LIVE's improvements.

Wow.. it has an aura that is real-life but Gilbert's eyes doesn't look balance.

No complaints about the graphics here. I actually picked up an Xbox 360 today so I'll be into Next Gen starting this year, though I still plan on getting the PC version as usual.

Welcome to my world Andrew! Going to pick up a copy of 2k7?
I'm hoping this year live will be worth buying for the 360. But I have little hope at the moment. But I must admit the graphics look decent so far.

Probably not, I've tried out the Current Gen versions of 2K the last couple of years and while there's certainly a lot to like about the game, I'm just not a fan of Isomotion. I might rent it at some point though, never hurts to see what else is out there (or what could be used in the Wishlist

).

BigKaboom2 wrote:Ehhh...doesn't look like Arenas at all - looks like a pre-render which has nothing to do with the finished product.
the only thing that seems accurate is the hair/hairline. they got that perfect.

the 1st pic looks ok. but the 2nd pic is the most real looking basketball game screenshot that i have ever seen. looks very nice!

Well I disliked it at first. but once I got used to it I really liked it. It opened up a whole new dimension of control It feels very backwards when I've tried to play live afterwards.

I suppose if I spent enough time to become accustomed to it I might have a different opinion, but to me it just feels a bit awkward compared to Freestyle.

Well it took me about a week of playing like a spastic to get the hang of it. But the opportunities it opens up, like in the triple threat position or on the drive. Brilliant!

well here in the US there's a $200 difference between their Premium bundle and the 60GB PS3. the difference is made up by the $200 HD DVD Player sold separately. However, on Sunday microsoft released their immediate answer to the PS3 dubbed the Elite bundle with a black 360 that has HDMI capabilities for $480. Seeing that you do have to pay for online gaming while the online gaming for PS3 is free, I'd overlook the lack of games on the PS3.

yeah i have always been a major supporter of the Playstation. I have never played an XBox, and i dont plan to. i dont care what people say, PS3 kicks ass on 360(that is the most biased oppinion is have ever expressed

but those screens are of xbox?????????
when will the nba live on pc screens will appear?
Tue May 01, 2007 11:35 pm
those are xbox360 screens man not regular xbox.
andrew you gotta try at least the demo of 2k7. Just to give you an idea of what EA might try to do with their jerseys this year.

They probably wont bother because it wont be anything to get excited about.
Not that the 360 screens excite me. As a PC user, all I want is good, realistic gameplay and stats.
Tue May 01, 2007 11:46 pm
To me that looks like it's pre-rendered. Anyone else get that sense?
Tue May 01, 2007 11:52 pm
oh im sure it is
That is supposed to be a PS2/PC Live 07 screenshot, I think we can all vouch that the graphics we got look nothing like that.
Wed May 02, 2007 12:39 am
The first shots released are always renders. It's been happening since the Tim Duncan/Kevin Garnett screens of Live.
Everyone goes gaga over it, then notices it looks nothing like it was supposed to. Stupid Live.
Wed May 02, 2007 1:43 am
the screens they usually use are from xbox..fookers
Wed May 02, 2007 10:26 am
Screens look amazing, but I thought they looked pretty decent last year too, and then you see videos and the frame rate was horrible and motions or animations looked sloppy and awkward. Obviously gameplay first, but the screens look good, and lets just hope it looks good while running too.

In time. It's still very early when it comes to news and previews and as we've talked about recently the PC version unfortunately isn't a priority.

I might do that at some point. Either that or rent it.

wish they're on pc!
