Well I did the exact edits that Playmaker did, and he said that should solve the problem. I'm curious to see what I did wrong. But thanks Iad, I mean I tihnk his edits already do that, but maybe I should make it more extreme like you suggested.

Maybe I edited the players wrong...

CAN ANYONE POST THEIR XBOX LIVE ACCOUNT SO I CAN FRIEND YOU AND USE THE LOCKER? I tried doing it with Cabrillo, and Ma888 or w/e (people I saw earlier in the thead), but neither has been online on live..

Here's the answer to a few of latest questions.

For the PG's I would use the 2nd formula that was posted on the front Page with these ratings being edited:

INSIDE RATINGS THAT NEED ADJUSTED
Inside Shooting Likelihood-(INSL)
Layup/Dunk Aggressiveness-(AGGR)

OUTSIDE RATINGS THAT NEED ADJUSTED
3-PT Likelihood-(3PTL)
Mid-Range Shooting Likelihood-(MIDL)
Shooter's Mentality-(SHME)

TEAM WORK
Go To Guy-(GOTO)
Using Screens-(SCRU)
Off-Ball Awareness-(OAWA)
Fast Break Anticipation-(ANTI)

You can use my posted settings for the PG's or go as low you want on most of these ratings. The lower the better for certain PG's.

For Player Rotations you must set them before you start a dynasty and I'd try to assign at least one backup PF and C in the top 10 of the rotation because that seems to stop the CPU from using SF's and SG's at those backup posistions. If someone gets hurt the CPU uses a rating system and then they re-assign the depth charts based on ratings and not always by posistion. I'd also suggest altering some players secondary posistion to reduce the problem.

Example Michael Finley and Jerry Stackhouse will play PG sometimes. But when I switched their posistions to be only SF/SG they didn't run PG as much but it still happens a few times.

As for the overall team ratings if your inputing the #'s yourself they might not matchup exactly to the final ratings I have because there were certain other ratings I increased for a particular player that might not have been specified or listing. Only the exact file will have the duplicate ratings but manually you should still get pretty close to what's on the file.

Also, the starting lineups can change the overall ratings of each team aswell.

For Player tendencies I used the last set of ratings posted by jdubs for each team because those were his most accurate ratings. I think he posted each team like 1-2 times while he was calculating the #'s as a test earlier. I would use those #'s for all players with the exception of PG's for obvious reasons.

I'll update this file after the trade deadline because I've actually come accross some additional edits that weren't utilized on the original file making it a little better with further tweaks to every team and players.

That's not too bad considering the front line doesn't have any SG's or PG's playing PF or C......

If I'm not mistaken with Boston's lineup I don't think there is a way to stop Ray Allen from playing the backup PG spot because he's the next highest rated guy that the CPU will go to for that posistion.

You might have to switch both Tony Allen and Eddie House to PG/SG and put them in the 6th and 7th slot on the depth chart.

IF that does'nt work it means the cpu is locked in automatically with Allen being the 1st sub at PG if Rondo goes to the bench.

Hey playmaker I was reading your thread over at sports gamer (http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/playm ... its-4.html) <-- that goes to page4, but I'm referring to page 3 here, and you said that you only adjusted the shot tendecies for a few teams. Would you mind posting those adjusted ratings for those teams/players? I checked out Jdubs stuff from the link at the beginning of this thread, but couldn't make any sense of it.. seems like he started over like multiple times, of course I may have just read it wrong. haha

From memory, you can't customise a lot of the settings with online play.

I've now dropped all points guard to inside scoring likelihood to 0, aggresiveness 0, mid liklihood 0, shooting mentality 0, and go to 0 because the PG domination is sitll ridiculous. (or more at less at 0, maybe like 5, I can't remember exactly) Chris Paul will shoot 30 shots unless I double team him, Anything else I can do?

The only thing left to do is to alter the playbooks or try to defend the PG's as less as possible maybe that helps them to react closer to what your trying to accomplish.

I've faired well by simply playing off them and giving them room

Have you been able to hire/fire a head coach???? i can't seem to find that option anywhere

also.. i have tried to change the amount of dunks in traffic by lowering everyone's dunking ability but still getting a take of from the foul line crazy dunk from some guys... and other hints? i think i also have the dunk/layup frequency on 100.. is that right or do i have it back to front?

You can't hire and fire head coaches in any NBA Live to date. Hopefully we'll see that feature one day.

I've Lowered all teams dunk vs Layup to around 40% but the top dunkers or players who would naturally dunk should still be around 50 ... Lowering the dunk rating to 40 ish will also take out alot of the crazy dunks.

I have not stopped tweaking 08 since i bought it , i'm nearly there i think !!

One other thing is to Lower the cpu's shooting sliders ( short / medium / and Long ) because i found no matter how tough i played D they still shot around 60-70 percent .... which is crazy !! should be around 40-55 percent for the team.

Any other problems anyones having ??????

Hopefully, all this editing isn't going to be needed for Live 09....

I think it's time for EA to deliver us a top notch game right out of the box since this will be their 4th year now on the Next Gen console.

i did do a really good edit with updated rosters, depth charts and shooting tendencies, playbooks, tendency to run and gun/play half court, point guard fix, bigs not running so much, with more accurate team ratings, and it is based on what playmakers did. its not the exact same edits, but people are giving me really good feedback. if you want them for xbox 360 my name on xbox live is GAVIN VANDRAVEN
