I'm still deciding exactly how I'm going to work that but KidJustin has provided me with some art for a special characters team so it's certainly a possibility. As of today, they're only in the Free Agents pool.

Right now, there'll be a Legends team and possibly a team of special characters. Additional teams are something that might be added in subsequent releases or add-on packs.

No, they'll be available in the Free Agents no matter what. The idea is that they'll be available to use on any of the NBA teams if you like (similar to using a code to play with the secret characters in the original games) or play against them to simulate the one-on-one boss battles of the new NBA Jam. However, we could perhaps also have a team comprised of a selection of the special characters (probably none of the former NBA greats since they'll already appear as the NBA Legends team; just the non-NBA special characters).

i think i know what you're talking about, yeah, i can add a couple wrinkles from nose to corners of mouth, and try to make the head more round-ish. thanks for the tips!

And I think I'm gonna start previewing more characters (probably 4) at a time, so this thread won't be flooded with pics

Whatever you feel comfortable with doing, but you really don't have to worry about that. I think we're all excited to see this come together and the new stuff you're working on, so if you do want to post multiple previews as you go then that's completely fine.

Pretty much just make them stars across the board according to the new ranges I'm using for the ratings (ie no one is rated lower than 50 for anything). That's basically how they were handled in the original Jam games.
