OMG! It would be so sweet if the PC version will be with next-gen grahpics

Not gonna happen...
Let's hope that we'll get some "next-gen gameplay" at least (a.k.a. none of the bugs and usual nonsense).

YEah!

If Live 08 is not Next gen! PLEASE EA! Just release game with nice PC textures!!! :?

IMO, if Live 08 for PC "current gen" show jersey textures like old NBA Live´s (mininum 512x512) and little move in shorts! would be great for me!

Does anyone know if the PC has the new features like 'quick strike ball handling', 'hot spots', 'own the paint' and 'signature moves'?

No info about the PC version has been released but I did ask about it at the event and hope to have some answers soon as far as the features that have made their way into the PC version this year. I would suggest that Gamespot's media section for NBA Live 08 is misleading/sharing content across all platforms as all indications are that the PC version will not be ported from the Xbox 360/PS3 version.

As discussed once or twice in this thread, the PC version is not a priority since it's ported from the PS2 version, so the lack of information at this point is not surprising. I'm hoping to get some more info on the PC version soon, as soon as I do I'll be sure to post it.

Direct x 10 for windows xp: The Alky Project, google is your friend, there's already an alpha out.

Microsoft is all about money, that's why xbox 360 has a 30-35% chance of breaking with the red ring of death, and 90% of the consoles go bad after the warranty expires.

That's why windows is only safe if you don't use the internet ;)

That's why microsoft isnt making dx10 for xp, because they want you to buy vista, even though nothing has changed in vista except the UI, and they renamed My Computer.

It honestly can't be that hard to port dx10 to XP, like the Alky Project, vista and xp are nearly identical except for the GUI, despite what they say about vista being built from the ground up, they said the same thing about XP but it's not.

I don't think most people will be able to compile that though...

A bit more was changed than that...but the reason they aren't making DX10 on XP is true.

However, DX10 is not needed at all for a Xbox 360 port...look at Prey and Call of Duty 2 for example. Also look at tonight's announcement: Gears of War port for XP. (And Cliffy B's indication that GFWLive will no longer be Vista exclusive...)

You can run it on XP though. All the game does is check if you're running Vista, people have created a hack that tells it "yes, I'm running Vista" on XP.

Well, you should probably send it to EA Canada, as they're making the game. And you should type it up now so you can work on a few drafts before it releases.

I still have faith for a next-gen version because of the next-gen videos on the PC section at gamespot.

I don't like it much either as I'm traditionally a PC player when it comes to Live but it's been established that the PC market is not the priority so it's not really a surprise.
