in my opinion....

i think just wait and play the game. im sure the players will be as realistic as they are during that time, REGARDLESS of what their overall rating is.

kram0829 does GREAT work. just put trust in him and he will help make TUP10 WAY better than the last

thanks for that kidjustin but i got tired of explaining about it and i think they can't understand it...hmm they just say what they think but they didn't refer to nba.com stats and im using rating machine v2.3 and tweaking it a bit since the overall rating of malone in rating machinve v2.3 is 88 and i tweak it to make it 85 but still they complain so im tired now and i just want to enjoy now playing together with my friends like dota since i started patching and helping here i sacrifice my time hanging out with my friends and just gather information to make this mod better but i guess it's time for me to relax and since they just tell what they want and never make it realistic when it comes to stats so i think they can do it thereself and sori for the things i said last night cause im angry with my friend and just visit this thread cause i i thought reading the post here will make me calm but the one i thought was irony at all..

Bro, I'm telling you DOTA sucks hard, I mean what's so good about it? If I were you I'd just rather play sports. Playing DOTA just makes people look dumb, shouting around saying senseless talk, just play sports and join the intramurals or some other academic stuff, chics dig that .

no DOTA for me is fun since im playing it together with my friends and we are enjoying it...it just depends to a person if he will trashtalk or speak some senseless word but i don't care about them as long me and my friends happy playing it...im a type of person that doesn't study at all but yeah im not still satisfied with a 1.5 grade in my mathemathics which i can make it to flat 1 if i will just study cause im studying that time in mapua but now i transfer to feu and i think i can make it better and now i will be reading my lessons since im now a 2nd year student...i don't play sports now cause i have a scoliosis that's why i can't play now...but when i was in elementary and high school when i have no scoliosis i play badminton,basketball and soccer and yeah im good in basketball shooting 90% when there are no guarding me any spot in 3 points or inside they calling me spotter cause when playing basketball i can easily spot and shoot and i remember that when we are playing basketball together with my friends they always double team me..but now i can't do it anymore since im not playing basketball anymore and i last play basketball last 5 years ago

if u dont mind could i have ur work that you will not add anymore? i REALLY looked forward to it in TUP10 and am very sad that it will be discontinued. if u allow me to have it, ill do my best to continue it for u (although i'm in my 3rd year in college...i actually have a lot of free time my schedule this quarter) and ill be sure to make sure u have the credit and defend all the work because i know its one of the best.

I can definitely relate to what you're saying kram and guys, I have to side with him on this one. With the way overall ratings are calculated, the results are not always perfect. A good example would be athletic players who are still fairly raw; high jumping and dunking ratings (that are appropriate) bump the overall up, sometimes a little higher than would appear to be ideal. Therefore, the only way to get the overall to look "right" is to get the individual ratings (which are more important) wrong and make players much better or much worse than they should be just because of the way the game calculates the overall ratings.

How about editing the Superstar ratings ?
example: Lamar Odom, great defender but not that good in shot blocking and stealing.
Maybe 52 Stealing, 67 Shot Blocking and 83 Defensive Awareness then edit his "Stopper Rating" to about 71?
That way he's going to be a stopper superstar without hurting the overall ratings, right ?

if lamar odom for example is stopper superstar then fix his rating to be an stopper superstar even though the overall rating get's a little higher than suffer the crash consequence that is ea's system so be it...the ea should be blame about those superstar stats limit they should lower it cause those stats are too high.

I always do it in my dynasty, I always edited my opponents ratings before I play against them to make the game more realistic.
Sample: I changed Howard's Inside Stopper Rating to maximum (99) for defensive dominance.
Novak Shooter Rating to 20: 3's was 82, 2's was 70 Offensive Awareness to 52. This seems effective to me.

It won't cause a crash but the abilities will usually disappear when the game triggers a ratings recalculation (eg when a player is edited or a trade/signing is made).

yeah i think andrew is right cause when i try creating a player all stats is 50 no superstar ability but when i edit it to 99 all ratings he has all the superstars ability then if i edit again some superstars ability disappears which means if you edit the ratings their abilities changes which makes them unrealistic..

And it will happen when the user makes a trade or edits one of their players to change the jersey number, which people are bound to do. It's fine to do for personal use, but it's not permanent enough for a roster that's being publicly distributed.

in dynasty the offseason training camp also recalculates...which happens to ALL players on a team.


....also dopeboy23 and i previously tried to find a way to fix this by just leaving the stats edited regardless of superstar requirements...then have a batchfile that puts the superstar stats back. and it causes some crashes during random times of gameplay. which is why i am using krams stats AND the superstar ability that comes with them fot TUP10...rather than the batchfile fix i previously used for TUP09

Good to know. I wouldn't have thought it would cause any crashes but that's a definitely strike against the method if it does. If nothing else, it's just not a permanent enough solution for a roster update. It's a different story with Primacy of course, there we have no choice and it's safe to do.

yah i experience also crashes when changing their stats and they lost their freestyle cause sometimes theirs a bug after u change it's stats and never edit it or trade/sign it and in game you accidentally use his freestyle that got lost there is a chance that the game will crash
