the sweatpatch and cyberface alpha layering applies the same for shoes....
heres a quick step by step to add alpha layers if ur still confused.
1.) when you open default or any shoe patch with the alpha lighting, it should have a blue layer over it. In order to add this blue layer to shoes from this forum, you will need a photoshop plugin that allows u to edit .dds files. you can get that by going here;
http://download.nvidia.com/developer/NV ... 9.1500.exe
2.) now if you're replacing an already existing shoe (which is the only way i know how) like sh001 and sh001r for example, open it with fshx. then go to texture and import the shoe patch you got from here. now instead of saving from here, u will EXPORT as .dds file. once you do this open it up with photoshop.
3.) Now this is the tricky part. When you open up your shoe .dds file in photoshop, go ahead and open a default shoe .dds too or any shoe file with the blue aplha layer already on it. This is to show you where you need to be to have the shoe file look the same way as the ones already working.
4.) go to the top of photoshop and open a tab called windows, and go to channel. here you should see the RGB, red, green, blue and an alpha1 channel. Click on the alpha1 channel and make sure it's the only one showing. It should look like a white blank space now.
5.) Now go to the already working shoe file and do the same thing. When you go to channels and look at its alpha1 tab though, it should have a dark gray or black filling instead of white. Just copy this color into ur foreground paintbrush.
6.) Now go to the white blank alpha1 layer on your shoepatch go to the top where it says EDIT and go to FILL. Fill the white blank space with the dark gray color.
7.) once you've done that time to save. When it asks you to replace say yes, and an NVIDIA DDS Format window should come up before it finishes saving. Before you save it make sure it is in a 8:8:8:8 ARGB (32 bit) format on the drop menu. Click save.
8.) Almost done! now open your default sh001 and this time import the dds file you have just made with the gray alpha layer. It should now have that blue layer over it. Save as a FSH file and there you go! I hope this helps
