The last few games I've played I haven't noticed any problems with Tony Parker. In my most recent game Tim Duncan attempted the most shots for the Spurs and I was guarding Tony Parker out on the perimeter which is often the kiss of death when it comes to point guard domination. That said, I've also had games where Parker is looking for his shot more often.

My XBOX360 died last week and I had the replacement plan from BEst Buy.
They replaced my console and gave me $50 because the price was 349 now

These guys don't even want to give me another Xbox talking about we want to ship it and let them fix it. How long you had yours? My console didn't crash but it's heating up like hell!!

That's one of the reasons I was hesitant to get my 360 because of all the horror stories with the red light of death. I actually bought mine second hand (but fairly new) from EB Games plus a 12 month store warranty. Of course, being an electronic device that should mean it'll pack it in about two weeks after the warranty expires. ;)

But all Xbox 360s have three year warranties. Why would you give extra money to a store?

why wouldn't you buy live? i just played the 2k8 demo on xbox360 and it seems like a good game, BUT live 08 looks and plays better to me personally.

I hate the fact that i cant control what the players do on dribbling with 2k. and i cant really use the shotstick well.

live 08 gets a little advantage over 2k, but i will get both probably.

being a customer service person at circuit city, I'd rather have customers deal with microsoft instead of coming and whining about it like a bunch of babies. :P

I'm probably the only person that doesn't bitch when I don't get my way at a store. . I actually like to work things out. When I was talking to the MS guy on the phone he was probably shocked that I was calm with him.

yeah well I work at Newport Beach, so I don't get that lucky. if I had a dollar for every time someone walked in the store and tried to pull the "I've spent thousands of dollars at your store" crap to get what they want... it's like wtf you and every other person that buys a new tv.

A couple of things that I wouldn't worry about in regards to the demo.

The PG's can be controlled much better by tweaking their ratings once the game is released. The playbooks will also help to stop anyone that is shooting too much but keep in mind Tony Parker, Baron Davis and Jason Terry type PG's do look to score.

Although Live 07 was far from great it did allow me to get just about every single player in the game to react accordingly by adjusting their ratings.

The defense seems like it needs to step up in terms of help defense and challenging shots in the paint.

Some of the players still jump too high and I fixed that issue last year by lowering their jump ratings down.

Overall, I was pleased with the demo version as it made huge progress over 07 in terms of game play and to a ceratin extent i was able to get Live 07 to play a tad better then it did out of the box.

I think once I'm done building sliders, playbooks and modifying a few ratings with Live 08 the game should be another step up from the demo version which is already solid IMO. Last year i even found ways to make the animations look a little more natural. The animations this year aren't as bad so it won't need as much tweaking as Live 07 did with the camera's and game play speed adjustments.

You guy's take care looking forward to helping you guy's enjoy Live 08 in less than 2 weeks.

so yea i've played both 2k8 an live 08 now and 2k8 takes the cake. but live isn't terrible is just isn't polished enough /fast dunks/ugly dunks/i though the graphics didnt look as crisp as 2k8/i found it hard to stop inside play more than 2k8/i hate the shot releases. but too each there own. personally 2k8 takes the cake.

and i aint no homer this is my first time playing a 2k game since 2k3. been playing live since well forever.

It didn't cost any extra, EB offered it given that it was a second hand console. I didn't word my previous post very well looking back on it, it did imply that I paid for the warranty.

Ive been a live player since 95 on genesis and just last year I swithched to 2K7. This year I downloaded the live 08 demo and I liked it very much. But then came the 2K8 demo. It blew me away. And I aint no homer either. I was wishing for a great ea game and I got my wish. But I gotta tell you that 2K stepped it up to another level. The level of realism is amazing. This is the first time the AI doesnt cheat to make a basket. They look for the open man, even if you rotate fast enough the AI will find the open player. The smoothness between one animation to the other is flawless. I know that isomotion is a bit harder to dominate than the RS dribbling on live but as soon as you read, practice and get used to it, youll be just fine. Even when a player changes from a dunk animation to a collision it looks very natural. I played the demo like 25 times now and I was impressed that the game was different every single time. Most times it was close, sometimes took a beating and sometimes gave a beating. And the ball moves around very well and realistic. In live 08 there is still a tendencie on PG domination as usuall. In live 08 I dont like that the RB button has primarly another function other than direct passing and you have to press and hold it (and wait) for a direct pass. I like to use direct pass a lot and I think it should be fast. The quantity of animations on 2K8 is spectacular. The game jus flows. I am very impressed. Dont get me wrong. I still likek 08 demo a lot but I think 2K8 is a step ahead.

I have to add that the AI is very unpredictable on 2K8
