NLSC Current Roster Update v3.2 Released

A new version (v3.2) of the NLSC Current Roster Update for NBA Live 08 is now available to download here (roster only version here). The rosters in the update are accurate as of October 27th 2009, see below or check out the release thread for full details.

Dynasty playable roster?

Yes, it shouldn't have any issues in Dynasty Mode...aside from the usual limitations of NBA Live 08 PC, that is.

Great roster patch. How do I make Ray Allen bald or is it possible for you to do that in another patch? I've searched everywhere for a cyberface without luck.

I don't make face patches so I can't help you out there, sorry. I'm sure a bald Allen face has been released though, but I don't have a link.

why some of the rookies have no faces? tnx ser.. and also some sophomore players... deyz have face but dont have the real face in nba.. tnx

All of the rookies have faces; if not their real face, then a generic placeholder face. I don't make face patches myself and if I don't have a real face available to use, I opt to use a generic one in the meantime. That way, if somebody downloads a face update for a player that's been added by the rosters, they don't need to edit the dbf files to use it. Similarly, I can just add the art files to the rosters by replacing the generic face in my sgsm folder and updating the installation routine where necessary. Usually I'm able to source faces for all the major additions to the roster but I can only use what I have on hand.

This may be news or not but anyways, the update (exe file) for rosters only, doesn't seem to work on Windows 7. The 3.1 version works but for this 3.2 version it supposed to "automatically" find the Live folder but it doesn't. Windows 7 is weird about getting stuff added to the Program Files folder. Anyways, it's an awesome update for other OS's...If anyone got the rosters only file to work on Windows 7 let me know how. Thanks.

That's weird, nothing's changed in that regard from 3.1 to 3.2 so if 3.1 worked I'm not sure why 3.2 doesn't.

hey guys, my first post here, and i am just wondering, am i the only 1 who gets a game crash when i end a Dynasty game , i cant play them coz at the end the menu (player of the game, quit to menu ect.) doesn't shows up and i get crash. P.s sorry for bad english

No one else has reported it as yet. Do you get an error message when the game crashes?

It appears that I made an error with Stuckey's speech, I'll look into it. I'll double-check Scola as well.

As no one else is reporting that issue, I would suggest it's not the roster but quite possibly a conflict with another update you have installed. You might also want to try clearing out the workingdb and currentdb folders. I've tested the rosters and haven't come across any crashes and as I said no one else has reported it, so I'm afraid the problem is at your end, not with the patch itself.

great patch, i've just started palying live 08 in PC a couple of weeks ago, i accidentally stumbled on this site and saw this roster update, it works fine with exhibition games, i tried to start a dynasty but the game still use the old (orig 08) roster. by the way, i loaded 09/10 Uninjured roster. How can i use the updated roster in dynasty. (rubio in free agency, great!)..
compatible shoe patch for this patch?

I'm really not sure what the problem is, specifically. I'm guessing there's a conflict somewhere, possibly a custom aiact.viv file. Try the default one, see if the game still crashes.

The Primacy Fix should be run periodically on a Dynasty save to restore the Primacy ratings following recalculations caused by injuries.

You cannot make the game start in 2008. I have a released a seperate Age Fix that will modify everyone's year of birth so that the game will recognise them as being older. The downside is that their bio data won't be 100% correct, but it depends which you'd rather have; accurate birth dates or proper ages as recognised by the game. But as yet, we haven't found a way to change the starting year.

If you start a new Dynasty with the roster updates, Rubio will be wiped from the database because he's on Team 32, the Retired Pool. You'll need to run the batch file on the roster save and then start a new Dynasty game.

Thanks for the kind words. To start a new Dynasty with any of the rosters, you'll need to select "No" for the 2007 Draft option, otherwise the game will revert to the default rosters.

Again, it's not possible to change the starting year. I did explain the situation in my previous post, despite a typo in the year what I said still applies.

Please consult Faces Troubleshooting.txt. There could also be a conflict with other patches you have installed or you could have some files missing from your sgsm folder, since I understand you recently had to restore it. If in doubt, try the patch on a fresh installation of NBA Live 08.

i have some players that their head is white.. but only the rookie and the sophomore like derick rose..
