The "Big Announcement": Jersey Creating Contest

The 'big announcement' that was rumoured earlier is an EA Sports Jersey Creating Contest, where the winner will get his jersey design to be featured in NBA Live 08 (as downloadable contents), an autographed Gilbert Arenas jersey and 6 game titles from EA SPORTS. The runner up will receive 5 game titles, and the person finishing in third will get a copy of NBA Live 08.

EA Canada makes the game, atleast let Canadians enter!!! I guess cause our dollar is higher than the states right now lol!!!

My bad, it's Canada as well (except for Quebec).

I made two jerseys. It's incredible how they both can't be submitted because I don't have some username or password to enter the secure area of beta.easports.com.

Anyways, a quick read of the rules shows that you can create a jersey from scratch as long as you only use your original creations and/or the artwork provided at the site. I wouldn't know how to get that art work off the site. I guess I should try using IE instead of firefox.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but the rules seem to contradict themselves.

This Contest is only open to individuals who are residents of the 50 United States (excluding residents of Rhode Island), the District of Columbia and Canada (except Quebec) who are thirteen (13) years of age (or the age of majority for his/her particular state or province) or older at time Contest begins and who had Internet access as of August 25, 2007. This contest is void in Rhode Island, the District of Columbia and Canada (except Quebec).

Anyway, the news will no doubt come as a bit of a letdown for anyone expecting major news regarding the game itself but it sounds like a fun idea for a contest to me.

I can certainly empathise, I find myself excluded from similar contests for the same reason.

I was hoping it was that the demo and all previous related media was a sham and a vastly superior game with a new engine would come out on Tuesday.

...not exactly what I anticipated.

I wanted to rep the pinstripes from the 90's but I figured I'd put a twist to the stripes.

I think the new Knicks Jersey is inappropriate considering recent news.
