Didn't look too shabby... nice that they included Gilbert just shooting and turning around... reminiscent of what happened in ral life.

I love how he looks away and raises his hands before the shot even went in - just like in real life.
Though I think Gil would hold the ball the whole 14 seconds (or whatever it was) and shoot dirctely in the defenders face instead of doin some passes.

that was sweet....hopefully computer AI is actually that good in closing moments....and hopefully they have celebrations for winning and personal player celebrations like in that video....

I think 08's gameplay could look something like that trailer because the player models actually look like the ones in the other trailers from this year. The trailers that EA used for 06 and 07 look nothing like the actual gameplay. While the trailer used today actually looks like some of the gameplay we have seen already. Now I'm not saying the game will play exactly like that but I have a feeling it could resemble it. Guess will just have to wait for that demo next month or in game video to see if I'm correct.

Supposedly there'll be some player specific celebrations but as far as I'm aware they'll be utilised by those players for the usual post-basket celebrations. I'd be surprised if Arenas will turn around and walk away like that upon launching a gamewinning shot as it would kind of telegraph the end result (and would be a bit silly if the shot missed) but it would be pretty cool all the same.

Hey Andrew do you think that Live 08's gameplay could actually play like or at least resemble the trailer?

Certain elements are going to be there. CPU teammates do seem a bit smarter in terms of moving without the ball and finding openings but it's probably not going to play out exactly like that. The trailer has been put together to look as impressive as possible with multiple camera angles, close-ups, camera cuts and so on; needless to say, we're not going to experience the game like that. But in terms of passing the ball around, finding the open man (or someone with enough space) and nailing a game winning shot? It would seem possible.

As I said before it remains to be seen how they're going to incorporate the player specific celebrations that have been mentioned. My guess is that they'll be used in place of generic celebrations after baskets in years past.

Will the payers move like that in this video? It look real good and it seem like they got rid of the hunched back look.

Just don't understand who the hell do they make these stupid trailers for - I actually think the gameplay should look like this these days but in real life it ain't gonna look this damn good for at least the next ten years.

the trailer is more to get people excited. In the live 06 video the models were pretty accurate, but the movements weren't. Same for live 07, but that video was more out of sync with live 07.
This trailer is to show the playermodels, which look fantastic in my opinion.

If you want to watch gameplay footage just keep looking at the Gamespot, on the spot video.

They should have made him swish that though. The ball grazing the rim and falling in didn't really look right.
