EA Sports have sent us a new screenshot from the Next Gen version of NBA Live 08 featuring Kobe Bryant and Jamal Crawford. Click the thumbnail below to view it.

Looks interesting I guess, though Kobe looks a bit like Eddie Jones on this screen, but well...

I expect they'll come eventually, I'm sure a lot of screenshots will start to be made available in the coming weeks.

I thought they were going to discuss it and possibly try it out here and there, but nothing had been decided as yet.

Yeah, Wade's pretty ugly too...
AI isn't bad at all but they're missing some tats...Not a big deal I guess.

They've talked alot about the NBA atmosphere in the previews, but that doesn't really translate in the screenshots. They should put some color in the crowd. Everybody's either wearing grey or blue shirts. And for god's sake, light up the building.

I dont know but I really like the way the player models are looking. It looks different than 07, in a good way.

There are things from the screenshots that i like in, and there a some details that i don't want to be included in the final-product.. Though, its far from release.. :

First of all, did they forget what Yao looks like? Also, they seemed to have not fixed the issue with the arm going into the jersey, as can be seen in the Kobe photo, and the cyberfaces in the pictures don't look really well. Its ok, but not impressive.

why are their eyes small like kobe's and wade's

The only thing I'm wondering is . . do they move realisticly or like Stiff Robots?

Yeah, and he looks more like Stephen Jackson than Allen Iverson..

I just hope they give some more attention to current gen. I seriously doubt they are going to change much though.

Yao Ming looks like a monk. The graphics are pretty good though, hopefully the gameplay is better.

I'm actually pretty impressed by these new screens. Maybe it's because I just got a 360 and will be able to view the game in it's "glory". I think it looks good, but to me the visuals are secondary! GAMEPLAY.....FOCUS EA!

The headband on AI looks like the ones from the old school lives, where they are part of the cyberface rather than sticking out. Like "drawn on".

EDIT: The Yao screen is even worse... If the graphics are anything like the gameplay, EA blew it again.

They are still some 3 month's out from the release. Let's keep that in mind....I'm feeling like being an optimist today. Doesn't happen every day!

Player movement looked pretty good in the conference call video, though videos alone can be misleading since the only way to get an idea of how player movement feels is to actually play the game. They are using the animation blending from Homecourt in NBA Live 08 though which would suggest it will be an improvement from last year, so I guess we'll see how it pans out.

Yeah that looks really bad.

Also the jersey's number and wordmark are two different colors. It could just be the shading, though.

Let's hope the screens improve as we get closer to release.
