No problem. You may occasionally get an SQL error as part of a security measure we've installed to stop bots from hitting the Downloads database and slowing down the site, we'll try and put up a more attractive error message page that lets everyone know exactly what's going on when that happens.

Probably easiest if I just upload it.

is it possible to get a separate download the new 09 all-star court by itself?

i dont want it to override the NO court so i want to rename it/edit my existing location.dbf...so i back up my nba live 08 folder and try to install ur patch, but i cant seem to find it.

The All-Star court uses the abbreviation "alls", so look for files that begin with that (allscrt.fsh, etc). If you check out the Art Required thread under the Releases & Previews section, you should find a link to the All-Star court as a standalone download.

Once you install the update, you need to load the rosters from the Load/Save menu. Please note that this will not affect any Dynasty games already in progress.

Hi. After i load the rosters, and enter dynasty mode, the rosters go back to the original game rosters as soon as i start with a team. :?

why does it do that?
ive also had this problem before when i created players, and saved the rosters, but in dynasty mode they were the original game rosters.

Make sure you select "No" for the 2007 Draft option, otherwise the game reverts to the original rosters.

Hi. I noticed some 1998 bulls players on your roster update while using db commander but I never see them in the game. Are they just templates for other players or is there a way to get them out to be able to play them?

EA included some entries for old championship teams but no art for them, which had led to the theory that at one point they meant to include championship teams from the past but could not secure likeness rights for all the players so the feature was abandoned but the data left intact (though some player data is off, suggesting it was abandoned fairly early). They're assigned to a team that doesn't exist so you won't see them in the game, it is possible to bring them into the active roster by changing their TEAM value but without art files the results won't be what you want. You'll see faces for Jordan, Pippen and Rodman because they've been added to the Legends in the patch but no one else has a face included in the update.

Defensive awareness ratings are straight awful.
Awful defensive players with great ratings, good defenders with low ratings, superstars mostly with to high ratings, players that regressed greatly/a little with to high ratings, some players that progressed still with awful ratings.
This should be patched. i can into a lot of detail if you want.

I'm sorry you find the ratings so awful, I have gone through the whole league a couple of times looking at ratings that need to be updated but with over 400 players in the rosters things do unfortunately get overlooked. Nick did point out a fair few defensive awareness ratings which have been updated in 2.5 which I released yesterday and some other ratings have been updated, so please base any suggestions on the latest release. Thanks.

If it's a league that uses NBA Live 06, it probably is the same one.

Nothing the patch does should cause that problem, it has been tested thoroughly and there shouldn't be any crashes. If you have any 2x (double resolution) court patches installed you might want to remove them or replace them with 1x court updates.
