NLSC Current Roster Update v2.5 Released...

Here's another early Christmas present, this time for NBA Live 08 players. v2.5 of the NLSC Current Roster Update for NBA Live 08 is now available to download here and contains rosters updated through December 22nd, 2008. It also includes a second 90s All-Stars team, thanks once again to BAYAG for the additional cyberfaces. See below for full release details or check out the official support thread.

Hey man, I have a quick question though: your players stamina ratings are set to play what amount of quarter time? 4, 6, 8,10 or 12 minutes?

Maek's fix should be fine for any quarter length up to the regulation 12 minutes.

Thanks sir for the release, but there is a problem about sun yue he is shooting in his right hand though he is a left handed. And his Name should be "YUE" not sun and his FNAME should be "SUN" not yue. The same as from Yao Ming his Name should be "Yao" ming while his FNAME should be "Ming" not yao. In chinese names we read first their surname then their firstname but when we write them firstname first then lastname. Hope on the next release it will be corrected. Mine is already corrected.

Search the Jersey of Yao MIng on the back it's "YAO"..

Jerson, Chinese names are read and written with surname first.

I can correct Yue's hand but I can't do much about the first name/last name situation as either the name on the jersey or the full written name in the roster listings will be wrong. That's why I have Yi Jianlian's name around the other way. If I ever figure out how to get it work properly in both places, I'll fix it up. Until then, unfortunately one of them will always be the wrong way around.

Yao is his surname, Ming is his given name. In Chinese, there isn't a first name and then a middle name, it's just a given name. Similar cases with Yi Jianlian and Sun Yue. Yi and Sun are the surnames and Jianlian and Yue are the given names. You can't argue with me over this one. I, unfortunately, am Chinese.

The odd thing is, even though Yao Ming's name is written as "Yao Ming" in the game, "Yao" still shows up on the back of his jersey despite being in the FNAME column in the database. If I can ever find out what other value allows me to do that, I can do the same for Yi Jianlian and Sun Yue.

i'm sure it is written into the game code itself, because it is a special case, Yao is his last name though..shouldn't be in the FNAME column...

Well, it has to be because that way the game lists him as "Yao Ming" instead of "Ming Yao", but there's obviously something in the database or the game's code that actually recognises Yao as the surname and places it on his jersey instead. If it's a value stored in a database, I might be able to do the same thing for the other Chinese players.

sir, which version of the real shoes patch is this compatible with? just so i can have the right shoes in game.

No idea sorry, none of the NLSC updates have been designed using the Real Shoes patch so I can't guarantee compatibility with it or any other mass shoe update.

Andrew, Hmmm... Guess I'll just have have to find an old accurate.bat file to fix my shoesacc.db. Thanks, btw.
