Resolution for wide screen monitor

I just bought myself a 22" wide screen monitor and the game doesn't have a resoultion that fits well with wide screen. It pretty much streches and makes everyone fat. What can I do? Is there a patch that gives more options for resolution.

There's definitely no patch for it. I don't think the PC version truly support widescreen.

Are there any files that can be edited to make something like a 1680 x 1050 work? I know what "nextnba" is going through...need the resolution tightened up!

You could give this a shot, I couldn't guarantee if it will work for you but it's probably worth a try.

Oh SNAP! It f**kin' WORKS!! BEFORE you use any Hex editor, make sure within the game you've already set the Detail Settings to the resolution you're looking to overwrite. So, before I did anything, I went into the game, set it to 640x480, played for a minute or two then left the game. I then backed up my current "nbalive08.exe" then opened the Hex Editor (I used XVI), REPLACED the offending resolution with one of the Hex codes listed above (my native rez was 1680x1050), SAVED the new .exe, then started the game. You'll notice immediately because the opening replays are moved to the corner but are in perfect clarity. Using the latest rosters from this site (awesome, with ALL the players' pics), I now have the ultimate NBA experience...best Xmas ever. Thanks to all here for the help...Go Warriors (with me running the Point)!!
