team's cities in dynasty?

what determines the city a team is located?

for example if i wanted to say....move the sacaramento kings to los angeles... (without moving the clippers/lakers out of la of course)

what (in the .dbf's) do i change specifically?

*and i dont want to just change their home court...i want the game to see it as in player's see that they are in a "big city/big market"

First, go there:

My Documents -> NBA Live 08 -> saves -> [name of your saved dynasty]

There find the file teams.dbf and open it with DB Commander.

When it's opened, find the line with Kings and then find the field "CITYNAME" (it's like 4th from left side) and change it from Sacramento to Los Angeles.

thanks for the response, but that just changes the "name"

when u go to dynasty, the roadtrip map would still show them in sacramento, and the players would still think that sacaramento is a "small city"

You'd have to create (and specify) a new LOCATIONID, though that could well cause the game to crash when trying to display it on the map (or it might just not display it at all).

First, add a new line in location.dbf and fill in all the details, complete with the next available ID number. Then assign this number under LOCATIONID in teams.dbf.
