A new version (v2.1) of the current roster update for NBA Live 08 has been released. Download the opening night roster patch here.

Key features of v2.1:
- 2008/2009 Season Rosters accurate as of October 28th, 2008 (Opening Night)
- Player ratings updated for more realistic performance
- Primacy ratings updated for better shot distribution
- Player positions and data updated/corrected
- Cyberfaces and portraits for missing players
- East/West All-Stars Updated for All-Star Weekend 2008
- Rookie/Sophomore teams Updated for All-Star Weekend 2008
- Maek's Fatigue Fix
- Player Accessories Updated
- Contract & Salary Info Updated
- Seattle Supersonics changed to Oklahoma City Thunder
- Logos, courts and jerseys updated for the 2008/2009 season
- Fixed Installation Routine
- Fixed Shoes

I don't have portraits for them so I couldn't include any. If you download portrait updates for them they should work however.

Andrew, is Josh Childress included in this patch?

He's not in the active rosters because he's playing in Europe and remains a restricted free agent in the NBA, so I decided not to place him in the Free Agent pool. If you want to play with him, open players.dbf, locate him (search for Childress in the NAME field) and change his TEAM attribute from 32 to 50. You can then sign him out of the Free Agent pool.

hey andrew do you know why some of the arms has these scab-like blotches on their arms? it's really ugly and annoying

I believe it's a conflict with other updates you have installed because I've checked and it doesn't happen for me, so it's not a problem with any of the files included with the patch.

ah hmm ok then i'll check and also, can you add allen iverson to detroit and antonio mcdyess and chauncey billups to denver when the trade happens? i believe it's 90% true

Thanks, but the whole point of a current roster update is to update the rosters so that they are current, so I do keep up with the latest transactions. You don't need to ask me to include them, up to date rosters are the whole point.

Also, please note that v2.2 is now out so it will have to wait until v2.3. Check the support section for the latest tentative release date.
