INJURY - editting the roster

Postby hamzie on Sun Oct 26, 2008 5:20 am

I searched the site and i found this.
INJURYID: Corresponds to a number in injury.dbf. 0 by default (uninjured)
INJURYDATE: Date injury occured, assigned by game in Season/Dynasty Mode
RECOVRDATE: Date player will recover by, assigned by game in Season/Dynasty Mode
ISPLAYABLE: Determines whether a player can play (TRUE/FALSE) ie he has a severe injury, minor injury, or is uninjured. If a player's name has a red cross displayed next to it in a roster screen, he cannot play. If his name is displayed with a bandaid next to it, he is injured, but playable.

What are the INJURYID numbers? I can't find any injury.dbf in my roster.
About the ISPLAYABLE, the selection is only TRUE or FALSE, so how do i make a player have severe injury or have minor injury? How do i make a player have severe injury with redcross being displayed?

I don't have a complete listing of all the injuries but if you want a player to be unplayable while they're injured, change their ISPLAYABLE attribute to False.

I made a whole new roster with all new players. I tried putting some values in INJURYID (values taken from dynasty simulated games) and change the ISPLAYABLE to FALSE for the injusred players. They show up fine ingame with bandaid or cross before a players name. They are automatically placed at the bottom of the lineup when i release/sign a player. All good except that when i enter dynasty mode, the game crash or if it loads, the game will crash if you view the injury list.

Heres some INJURYID i got from simulating dynasty mode.
- sore knee 41 (isplayable set to true and the player will jsut display bandaid but he is still playable)
- hyperextended knee 35 (isplayable False)
- neck sphasm 67 (isplayable False)
- sore knee 39 (isplayable False)
- broken finger 7 (isplayable False)

I think i'll just stick to changing the ISPLAYABLE only to FALSE as editing the INJURYID for the default roster will crash the game when i enter dynasty mode. The best way probably is to edit the INJURYID when you already have the dynasty roster and not the default roster.

Anyway...Andrew thanks for the quick reply and i know we can always depend on you when we have questions like this.

Did you fill in details for the injury date and recovery date? If not, that's probably why the game crashed. If you did, then it would probably be best to stick to just changing ISPLAYABLE.

Heres what i did
INJURYID--INJURYDATE----RECOVERYDATE-----ISPLAYABLE
1) ---39------------------------------------------------TRUE = crashes when entering new dynasty
2) ---39------20070930------20080430-----------FALSE = crashes when entering new dynasty
3) -------------------------------------------------------FALSE = new dynasty loads fine but player cannot be activated.

The third result sounds like what you want. You'll just need to change his ISPLAYABLE attribute to True when you want him to be active again.
