this is me. I'm very sad about the current situation, let's call it EA wants to earn more money and lets PC-Players stuck on NBA live 08.
But what can we expect from a company recycling Sport Games every year again and not caring about fixes and updates. The reason why we still play NBA live is this great community.
A week ago i had a look on NBA live 09 and was very surpised, when i saw the new Dynamic DNA Feature. It's like a dream came true for me.
But after i looked for a shop to preorder i was very disappointed. No Version for PC?!? They must be kidding.....
Then i had a look on NBA 2k9 from 2k-Games. And i saw the same feature and rumors about a pc version. This is my last hope and if this is a true fact i will immedatly stop working in the next project und give it to other hands.
Only if nba 2k9 doesn't come for pc...
After thinking about this for a time i had the great idea to do this feature on my own and for NBA live 08 only. In fact i began writing a tool which fetches all current data from player-stats & team-rosters and translates it into NBA live 08 values. After filtering that data i will be able the write the updates to the NBA live Roster-Files.
In short: we probably will have "Dynamic DNA" on NBA live 08.
If this project progresses i will write a client, which fetches the newest Update from a extra server (there will also be mirrors) and writes it to your desired save-game or roster.
What i've already done is the fetching of the current data. The data needs to be filtert, translated und recalculated (to fit into NBA live 08 (e.g. free-throw percentage).
The biggest steps need to be done and this will be hard work and as i said this will only continue progressing if NBA 2k9 doesn't release for pc.
I will need help, but once it is created one person only needs to make a double click and his game is up to date
What i need is the following:
1.) Someone with great skills in CDBF-lite (updateing etc...)
2.) Some guys who can support me with mirros (to have great speed for everyone)
3.) Feedback for calculation formulars on the different skills. Means: after a time i will post formulars for calculating different skills from current stats and you need me to tell if this equals realistic figures).
4.) Some feedback on the main idea.....
To keep this clean i will update this first post sometimes.
