NBA Live 08 PC Issues (Bug List & Information)

Scrazynet, the basket after the buzzer is a common thing, it will count as long as the shot is released after the shot clock(or game clock) expired and the buzzer buzz and about the second one, i will not count that because i get offensive foul but even if my player make a shot it will not count as a basket.

I think i did not express myself right .

After the buzzer sound, and time has expired, when they head to the bench, if a make a shot, it counts(The points)

And when The CPU get´s called for a offensive foul, i can hear the whistle and I get the posession. Still, if he is able to make that shot the points are still counting.

All those above are bugs, since the basket are not supposed to be validate and counted for points.

That's a frustrating one, I've lost a couple of Dynasty games that way.

In my game I cant edit the gear for the biceps... (eg. Iverson’s arm band, Melo, etc)
Is this just with my game or is it really not possible to edit it like in past version?

It's an oversight in the game. Glen has released a fix for that though, check out his announcement thread in the Releases & Previews section.

Hi everybody, i have the german nba live2008 and i have not yet found where i can increase the replay in the game, i have about 2 replays in the game... i have looked through all the settings but didnt find any option to control the replays...
can anybody help?

i too must say, that the ea live series as been more than dissapointing, i have been playing live 2004 and i loved it, the gameplay in 2008 has got worse than 2004, thats a real shame!!!!

Replays are automatic. They happen after superstar and goto moves when the star icon beneath the player flashes indicating that they are performing a move. The more moves that happen during a game, the more likely the game will show a replay of them.

now why would they change something like that??? nba live 04 was such fun to play, how can the game 4 years later be so stifff and complicated????

We can only speculate as to why certain customisation options aren't included in recent releases.

That's correct. You can always pause the game and enter Instant Replay if you really want to see something again but the old approach to automatic replays isn't used in the PC version.

i've just downloaded some (actually, about all of them ) of the patches around here, which is problem is...

...i mean, don't you guys ever get tired of having to fix things yourself? we buy this crap and EA ain't done *expletive* about it. total rip-offs. sure, there's about 1 pc user for every 10 console players but man, 1 is more profitable than 0. i'm cool with EA placing bug-infested games on the shelf but at the very least provide support for it and (at least attempt to) release a patch. they talk about the game being REALISTIC, well, tell that to EA's version of chucky atkins cause the guy just scored 67 points on me with kobe guarding him in the 4th (before i had the sim engine of course). very nice job EA.

oh, and i second Scrazynet's comment about offensive fouls. it happened to me, too. it's a legit bug.

Absolutely. There's no question that it shouldn't be our responsibility to try and fix these issues but if we can do anything to improve the experience, so much the better.

I played Live 08 for 1 day.....haven't touched it since....what a waste of money.

is there a link for a fixed crack? i've tried hatred but still my game is crashing again... can not even finish the 1st quarter... please badly in need of help

Correct, NBA Live 08 PC's Dynasty Mode leaves something to be desired.

If they will not release a 2009 for pc bro andrew they should have just release some fixes for 08 so that the people who are playing there game will be satisfied..

man im already satisfied thanks to all nlcs patchers. tha only thing that needs to be fix is tha free throw bug. i juz cant think of anything else hehe.

That would be fantastic and some sort of official roster update/expansion pack would be something since we'd presumably have new speech files to work with but I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for it. They didn't release an update when the game was first released, I doubt they'll release one in the middle of producing the next instalment.

Seems unlikely, but if you're not bothered by any of the issues listed here then more power to you. Personally, I can't stand doing anything with NBA Live 08 besides updating the rosters for those who are interested in playing it.
