Online Troubles..

Yea well... Me and my friend are trying to play NBA Live 08 Online through direct ip. Right now were trying to connect. I live in California and he's in Tennesse right now. Anyways, when were trying to connect it just stays at "Waiting for other player" and it's been like this for the past 28 minutes.. We really wana play online togethor, is there any way to fix this?

Assuming everything is fine as far as the IP addresses are concerned, one or both of you may have security settings/third party security software that is blocking the connection.
