Game suddenly crashing at game loading screen?

My NBA Live 2008 randomly started crashing whenever I would go to play a game. It would go to the loading screen that always pops up right before you play a game, and then Windows would have an error. It worked fine until now. I re-installed, and it still has the same problem. The only registry I edited is the registry of my franchise file, and even when I'm trying to play games outside of my franchise, I get the same crash. Can someone help me?

have you installed any patch?..maybe courts, jerseys etc.?..

The only patches I installed were ones that effected dynasty mode, such as the reorder rosters screen patch. I think that was all though. And like I said, it still crashes even outside of dynasty mode when I go to play a game.

BTW - sorry for double posting, my internet was giving me problems and I wasn't aware that it was posted twice.

Actually, it only seems to be with my franchise now. The salary cap editing is the only thing that could be wrong. How do I edit the salary cap without having it crash like this? This game is becoming annoying.

well..if it also crashes even on a simple 5 on 5 game..i think the dbf files in your dynasty doesn't have anything to do with the problem..

Yeah, it only crashes when trying to play a game during the season of my dynasty. It doesn't crash outside of the dynasty, and all I did was edit the cap. You can't really mess much up doing just that?

If this helps, I thought I'd add how it crashes. The game starts to load to being the gameplay sequence (ex: Kobe's face displayed largely with a tip on how to post up or something) and then the game minimizes to my taskbar, tries to maximize again, and only maximizes about 3/4 of a black screen and then says that the program has encountered an error and needs to close.

It's very weird and it does this on it's own. Any new ideas on what my problem is?

if it only crashes on dynasty games, i think the problem is really due to your edited dbf's..you'll just have to restore the dbf you've edited..have you made a back-up?..

with the maximizing and minimizing thing, i don't really know why that happens..

I was mistaken last time. I re-installed and this still happens to me. I installed on my friend's computer and it was fine, so it can't be my edition of Live. I can't have any in-game action, dynasty or no dynasty. I hear sound but I don't have any visuals, and I get a message that NBA Live has encountered an error and needs to close. I'm pretty sure it has to be a problem with my visual settings, but I have no idea on how to troubleshoot that.

have you happened to reformat your computer before you reinstalled your nbalive?..maybe you forgot to install your video drivers..

maybe its ur video card....

Maybe its bcuz of ur Directx It should be 9.0c and above...

I installed my driver for the video card, and I'm using a Dell Latitude d620 with the latest nvidia installed for it. I have the latest version of DirectX too. This makes no sense, and I hate it.
