Should I Buy 08

I have NBA Live 2004 and I would like to get a newer one. Is it worth getting?

id keep live 04, i miss playin nba with simple gameplay

Naww, get NBA Live 07. I know it's an older one, but it's better.(My Opinion) But Fitzy, is right, 04 is a simple game, easy to win, doesn't take long. But if you're are looking for more realism, get NBA Live 08, If you're looking for crazy, awesome, dunks, get NBA Live 2007. Or you could get both.

i would even consider down grading to live 03 actually, thats heaps more fun to play then any of the current versions

and ofcourse, TRU v2.0!!!

I loved playing 2004 but... I lost the CDs
Still I think 07 is better, if you download some patches, of course.
08 is crap.

I'd never consider 03's blocks to be amazing. lol
But 03 is tons of fun, and if you check out my patches (link below) and the TRU Mod you even get current rosters.

Anyway, I'd stick with 2004. 08 really ain't that good.

But 2004 is really a fast style game. No time for a time-out. JUST PLAY!!!
like i said, want more realism, get 08. Want awesome, crazy dunks, get 07. I haven't seen 03, so I don't know.

04 is great without patch. 07 is a crap game at first because of PG domination and Substition problem but with patches it become good. 08 is another crap which some of the problems just cant be fix easily. I wish there is a game which i can play without patches.

True, but given NBA Live 08's issue he might want to consider a different version for the PC especially since there are people in the community still making updates for the older games in the series.
