Changing Balls

Fri Apr 11, 2008 3:23 am

Is there any patch or something that allows play w/a red, white, and blue ABA ball?

Do you mean a money ball? Like in 3-point Showdown?

Fri Apr 11, 2008 6:45 am

I have never been in the Showdown- so I don't know. However, I am referring to the old-school red-white-and-blue balls from the days of the ABA. Think 1970's Dr. J, David Thompson, the Iceman, and Dan Issle.

I would love to work those into my Dynasty.

Thanks.

Um, I think I know what you're talking about. I don't think there is a patch like that.

Sorry. :(

That one is from UltraNIX, for NBA Live 2007. Try it, I honestly don't know if it will appear properly in 08, too. Because I think the structure how the texture of the ball looks changes every year.
Anyways, just try it.

Sorry, it was tough to tell from your response.

Thanks for the info.

Wo! He's got some great stuff over there- NBC Scoreboard and Euro Team w/Kuko and Schrempf.

Thanks.

I think you were correct; he calls it Vintage Indoor Leather Spalding Money Ball (3 colored, ABA style)

Okay, glad everything worked out. (Y)

Yeah sure, I'm an idiot.

If that doesn't work:

Open the xcommon.viv file and extract the aba_ball.fsh (I think that's how it's called), rename it to ball.fsh and put it into your sgsm folder.

I didn't see that coming.
