Right after you pass the ball to someone, press pass and move the left analog towards the player you want to pass to and he will catch the ball and quickly pass the ball. It's not guaranteed that that particular animation will happen.

well,that is in pc version,you can do the same with keyboard,he was explaining for joystick(you can play pc version with joystick too)
