rar files are similar to zip archives, but a little different. They are used to compress a file or multiple files so they are smaller and easier to transfer. You need a program that can unpack or extract a rar file. The program I use for this is called winrar. You can download a free version from the internet. Open the rar file with winrar and read the instructions on installing. If it is a file with a FSH or BIG extension, it goes in your sgsm folder. Anything else usually requires instructions on where to place the file and those intrauctions should be included in the rar archive in a text file.
