Aaron Brooks from Hoston plays center!??

I have NBA Live 08 for the Xbox 360.

I noticed during a game against the Rockets that Brooks was playing Center! Does he play Center in real life? I thought he was a SG/PG? It was kinda comical. I'd post a big guy on Brooks and he would score on him at will.

He's a PG in real life. Maybe EA gave him wrong postition and that's why he is playing at center.

I believe his position could be correct. Was he starting at centre or did the game sub him in at that position? Perhaps a quirk in the game situation (fouls/fatigue/substitution pattern) left the Rockets without a suitable sub at centre leading to Brooks coming on at that position?

Andrew, he was subbed in. In fact I'm playing against Houston now and it's with EA's updated rosters. Ming is out because of the injury. Brooks is subbed in an a center. Also, they now have D. Mutombo and he isn't being subbed in. He's a much better fit then Brooks.

It's odd that Mutombo wouldn't be subbed in before him. My guess was that due to the Rockets' lack of centres with Yao out, Brooks might have been brought on because no other more suitable players were available but if Mutombo is on the bench at the same time then that obviously isn't the case.

brooks is a pg..he's only like 5 '11'...check his position to make sure it's correct...

He's definitely listed as a point guard in the latest official update. My guess is that the CPU somehow messed up its substitution patterns and brought Brooks on in centre, something it would normally only do if it had no choice, such as everyone else being injured or fouled out even though that wasn't the case.
