Getting thrown off in the middle of game

This just started last week. I have the latest update on my ps3 and allll morning i've tried to play 5 games and in each game i havent been able to make it through the 1st half with out getting disconnected from the game. I went to my cable store and switched modems to see if that was the problem but it wasnt. Everytime i get kicked off the game pauses and a "please wait" sign comes up, then it disconnects. Could it be something to do with my PS3? I know it is not my connection because ive checked and i know it isnt people pulling the plug either. Any thoughts?
