Dynasty Roster problems in year 2 and beyond..

Hey,
I'm playing a dynasty on XBOX 360, and in year many teams are benching their star players in favor of either rookies or other players who have much worse ratings than them. For instance, Hakim Warrick is starting over Pau Gasol and Zydrunas of the Cavs isn't starting becaue like Cedric Brown is. Anyone know if the CPU will ever fix this problem? Like if an injury will they re-order their roster?

An injury would definitely cause the roster to be reordered, but once the player is healthy again there's a good chance they'd be placed back in the starting lineup ahead of the real player.

Just some theories....It might be a team chemistry issue, where one player over another gives the team a better overall chemistry. There could also be an issue with the cpu teams reordering their roster after a player has recovered from an injury, assuming these benched "stars" were out due to an injury of course.

Are you serious? Damnit, I don't get why Seattle Sonics (who traded for Brad Miller) would start Saer Sene (Or whatever his name is) over Brad Miller. Miller is a good 15-16 overall points higher... Ditto for Gasol.. I really want to change, I ahte how the 306 version will allow you to edit ratings, but not roster lineups...

If you can sign-and-trade a low rated player for a low-rated player on the Sonics, you could force the CPU to reorder the roster which might resolve the problem. Just don't save your game so if doesn't work, you can restore it at the point before you made the trade.

Guess what! Now for some reason, Baron Davis is coming off the bench behind Jameer Nelson (Traded to Warriors for Matt Barnes apparently). They should play the two together in the backcourt rather than start Kelenna Azuibuike. Also I did a really dumb thing, by not editing the secondary positions of all players before the I started my dynasty. Some players shouldn't have secondary positions though, I.E. you will never see Nash run the 2...

That sucks, though I like the way you've worked the errors into your Dynasty thread.

Yeah, I'm just going to work around all these weird things by creating more story lines and such. I got another idea for the Davis situation as that game is coming up..

It's odd though, since the game usually prefers to place the highest rated players in the starting lineup (sometimes using secondary positions but usually not) and then ordering the bench by overall rating as well. It does make some strange decisions from time to time; in the current roster update for the PC version, whenever I'd make a transaction involving Seattle the game kept wanting to bring Durant off the bench behind Damien Wilkins at shooting guard, even though Durant's primary position was shooting guard and he remains the higher rated player.
