substitution

hi, i was wondering how you can make substitutions in the game or between freethrows, because i can't on my game. I can only do it between quarter breaks, time outs, and non-shooting fouls. I have the psp version of nba live 2008

You should be able to, you just need to pause the game and make the changes. Note that as in real life, substitutions must be made at a dead ball so any substitutions you make when the clock is running won't occur until the next dead ball.

ok, but i can't make subs between freethrows.

That one's an issue with the game. Unless you've got a pending substitution, the sub won't take place until the next dead ball (or after the final free throw is made, contrary to the actual rule).
