how to make transparent fsh files?

I was wondering how could you make a transparent section in a fsh file in 08.

I am tring to ad missing banners, i know back in 04 you would use nfsh tool , but what or how do we do that?

And help would be great.

OK ACTUALLY i still need help , i used the fsh line tool to open the file and repack it but everything i want to be transparent is not. and everything that was transparent is no longer. i would love some help on this .... quick reminder i havent pacthed since live 04 any help would be great......

Save you image as a PNG with transparency and use FSHx to import it into a FSH file. FSHx only shows support for DDS and BMP, but you can type the name of the png file when you are selecting a file and it will import it just fine.

ok i quick question should i have the PNG with transparency in my drop down for save file as???? because i dont see it.

If your using photoshop, don't worry about it. Transparency is on by default.

i am not i am using paint shop pro 9, well i this is what it did.

1.made i new image made it the same size as my the one that i made then copied the that on to the new image. then cut out the areas i dont wana be seen in the game , saved it as a png

2.and then imported that png in to fshx like you said.

3. then checked it in the game not transparent.

But i checked in the fshline tool and it then when i open the file it looks like the other transparent images in the game(bench charis and rails) ... i dont know what i need to do?
