help with my corrupted installation

i just bought nba live 08 last night and was so excited to play it but i have a problem - when i first installed it stopped at 78% saying there was an error with the cd somethin like that then wehn i installed it for the second time it has the same error but at 94% and i did that for like 5 times - but it was still playable the only problem is speech files are messed up the commentator would talk for the first 30 seconds of the game and stop, then would talk again on the next quarter of a 5 min game, the announcer would not call some names sometimes, and so on, so if u could just help me by listing all audio/speech files for nba live 08 and their sizes so i can see if a have a corrupted file and if i can really refund this thing because im really frustrated ryt now you can also include the music tracks if u want but it think no track is corrupted so pls help me people from nlsc

Is it an original copy? Maybe there is a scratch on CD? If not, try to return on it to the store and have a new copy.

I suggest you keep your current installation since it is playable. Maybe back it up and reinstall to see if you can complete the installation without any errors. End any background programs before installing it.

You can also try grabbing the files off the dvd. They are located in the group cab files and can be extracted with winrar. Maybe you could copy the cab files off the disk to your hard drive and then extract them because there could be a problem with the extraction. The files would have to be renamed since the filename inside the cab file contains the path as well as the filename.
