NBA LIVE 08 - Is this game a patch to 07???

Hey everyone, i have loved the EA NBA Live series each year however this year i was so upset i almost snapped the DVD.
Is it me or does the NBA LIVE 08 just an updated patch from the 07 series.
Apart from a few minor changes (layouts, runs a little smoother) it is all the same. (if anything some good features from 07 were taken out ie Superstar Buttons)
The same commentry, cut scenes, features, gameplay, even the same tatoos at least make new custom tatoos for players etc etc.
They added some national teams which i already had from the national team patch.
Lets hope they bring out a whole different game next year , do they even listen to teh NBA-LIVE wishlist.
Whats everyone elses thought on this years game.

Just a heads up, most people have already offered their thoughts on the game so you might not get a lot of feedback, but if you look back through the posts dating back to the game's release you'll get a pretty good idea of the general opinion of NBA Live 08.
The PC version of the game does feel like somewhat of a minor update (mainly because the PC version is ported from the PS2) but I wouldn't necessarily deem it a patch since while it fixes a couple of issues, it has a lot of new issues so I wouldn't call it a satisfactory update on NBA Live 07.
As discussed elsewhere, EA Sports' focus is on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 these days so as long as the PC version is ported from outdated hardware (ie the PS2), we're unlikely to see the same innovation and changes as the 360 and PS3 versions.
