Just got NBA Live 08 PC, what needs to be done to it?

Can someone please summarize what needs to be done to make this game the best that it can be? Is there a sticky for this?

In years past, I just downloaded Andrew's roster and slider settings.

It needs to be returned for a 360/PS3 and NBA 2K8?

^

He speaks the truth.

Since you already have the game and most likely intend on playing it, the first things you want to do are grab the fixes. Get the official NLSC roster, of course.

In the 07 add ons downloads section of the main site, grab the edit player shoe bug fix, it works for 08, too.

Then look for Glen's thread in 08 Announcements in the forum. I think he released a fix for bicep accessories on the first page, but it's definitely in his thread.

I also released workarounds for dynasty mode because you can't reorder your roster or set your player rotation, but even if you have them the game still seems to set it's own playing time for your players if you sim games.

The two other things that need updating are the simengine and the gameplay. There are multiple simengine patches and multiple gameplay fixes, so it's up to you to try them and see what you like. Kris has been working on a gameplay fix and so has Jimmy. Several people have tried fixing the simengine.

There is a 2x jersey pack by c0nr4d, but released by Jaosming. It should be in the download section somewhere, and in 08 announcements in one of Jaosming's threads. Beware of using this with court patches, both of them together can cause crashes.

Everything else is your prerogative. Sorry, that I didn't directly link you to any of them. I'm sure you can find them.

What needs to be done is chop up the hard drive upon which you installed the game, chop up the CDs or DVDs, chop up the box, chop up the manual. Keep all the pieces separate or they tend to flow back together like the liquid metal terminator. Burn each piece, then scatter the ashes over as wide an area as possible.

Eventually the ashes will reform and the game will return to plague you, but if you scatter them over a wide area, like say an ocean, it will take a long time.

I rewatched those retarded pre-game release videos where some dipshit (during Community Day) from EA talks about how awesome Live 08 is and how they've re-focused on gameplay. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Each year we hope and each year my anus just gets stretched and enlarged.

Thanks for this.

This is what I've done:

Downloaded Andrew's roster
Downloaded Kris' Gameplay Fix version 1.32
Downloaded player lock fix

If I don't care about dynasty mode, simming, or graphics, is this all that needs to be done?

What is everyone using for sliders for PC version? The sticky slider thread barely has anything in it.

If you don't edit player's shoes or bicep accessories, then that is all that needs to be done.
