I have the same controller. All you have to do is save your controller config. Give it a name like "rumble" or something else. If you do that, it will be the default controller whenever you want to play a game.

I think the game reads the controller aplhabetically, what I mean is whenever you start the game the first controller in the list begins with letter "A" , or so on, so fort,... so saveas your controllers name with the first letter of the alphabet... so that everytime you load the game yours wiil be the default....

i found a way to change the default control....
open the jfg file with notepad and change the priority to 1
like in keyboard
ioconfig_mgr_default 1
ioconfig_mgr_displayname "KB"
ioconfig_mgr_keyboard_priority 0
to
ioconfig_mgr_default 1
ioconfig_mgr_displayname "KB"
ioconfig_mgr_keyboard_priority 1
tell me if it works...

I don't understand why EA didn't include a configure controller function when it used to be there before. It's annoying to have to select the controller every time.
Play On.

okay... for all people using controllers......
1. first of all BACKUP your generic.jfg
2. then rename the controller file eg x.jfg to generic.jfg.
3. right-click the file and make it read only.

Your controller should be selected by default (Y) (Y) :D
