problem with tattoos

Postby chris-3- on Mon Dec 24, 2007 10:50 pm

hi guys
i already posted this problem yesterday but didn´t discribe it very precise. so i hope for answers this time. my problem is that some of the tattos arent displayed with correct size and not in the correct spot. for examlpe t-mac has all his tattoo´s on the back of his right shoulder and it looks like this with most players so here´s my question: has anybody already experienced this and maybe already solved it?

to make it worse the problem is that i don´t really know when exactly it happend but i discoverd it a day or so after installing the first nlsc roster patch (although i don´t thik the patch is the reason).

thanks in advance

I believe the ARM tattoo files in Andrew's roster were 2x resolution since 07.

Two things you can do.

One, either install the 2x armbands and tattoos from 07, or two, search through your sgsm directory and open up every arm_tat FSH file with FSHx and make sure the resolution is 256x256. If it's 512x512, use the half-resolution feature of FSHx.

i think it may be something messed up with the dbf files. anybody an idea how to fix this without deleting my rosters?

You must have not done it correctly, because what I stated are the only things you can do. It was quite a common issue last year when using 2x armbands and tattoos.

I looked at Andrew's roster and it uses 1x tattoos. So the problem seems to be that you have the 2x armbands installed, and that's why the tattoos aren't showing up correctly. So you need to go through the arm_tat files and make them all 512x512 with FSHx. Quite the opposite of what I said earlier.

dbf files have nothing to do with this.

You must have installed 2x armbands and tattoos.

Original armbands and tattoos are based on a 256x256 arm file. If you double that resolution, the tattoos need to be doubled, also, because they are just mapped onto the arm file and aren't displayed on the arm correctly.

If you don't have a trmcgra_arm_tat.fsh file in your sgsm directory, then you probably have a plyrtat.viv file in there. Move it to the sgsm/players directory, but backup the original one before you replace it.
