Talk about NBA Live 08 here.

Graphics are awful -- any resolutions?

I'm an idiot when it comes to technical issues with computers. I'm a usual console gamer, but wanted to switch over to the NBA Live computer series to see how much better it was.

I bought an Inspiron 1420 in September that amounted to be $1400+. I wanted something that was quick, I got that. However, I wanted to be able to play games decently (I play the Sims 2, and the graphics are fine for it). I wasn't expecting anything spectacular, but something normal and ordinary for Live '08.

Is there any way I can fix this and resolute the screen to having the game actually look better?

Most rhetorical question ever: I'd say I should post my system specs? I'll check them.

What do you mean by awful? Perhaps you are just so used to the next-gen console graphics that the graphics in Live 08 don't look so great. Also check to make sure you have all the graphical settings turned up all the way in your details panel. Another thing that helps is to have AA turned on in your NVIEW panel.

I'm an idiot, again! Man oh man, I overreact.

I'd like to thank you for your help, DatYellow Guy.

It wasn't that I was too use to the next-gen graphics (I hadn't played video games in three months before today).

I found out that the resolution was 800x600, and my PC was at 1280x800. 'Fixed all that up and the graphics are what I expected.

Again, thanks. I really appreciate it; 'hope you can see through the fact that I'm still a console homer.

I'm trying to get this Microsoft Wireless Xbox 360 controller to work, but it's not acting right for the game.
