Edit Player Crash Problem

Okay I've had NBA Live 08 for about a month or so and it was fine until today.
I wanted to edit Kevin Durant from PF-SF to SG-SF and it started to crash. I finally got to change it, then I saved right away, but when i tried to change his shoes it crashed on me again. I kept trying and it crashed on me 10 times and I quit on it.
I think it might be a patch I installed...it was fine until i installed CHNxiaoju's Real Shoe for 08 1.5 and 2.0. I installed it and started playing, then i went to edit Kevin Durant or anyother guy it crashed. So what I did was uninstalled it. I went to the SGSM folder and took out all the shoe files.
Can someone tell me what the problem is? Do I have to install the patch over again and will it stop crashing. I would appreciate the help. Thanks in advance, and I will thank you again when some one can find away to fix this
