Live 08 Next-Gen Port

Postby bruceleethree on Tue Nov 13, 2007 5:25 am

Splinter Cell Double Agent 360 was ported to PC. Next-Gen.

Why didn't they do that with Live? Now 2 years running...

Last Gen live is horrible, bugs, boring and annoying.

Whoever paid these guys needs a new career. Worst programming performance in game history.

I totaly agree with u bruceleethree they didn't even port the PC version from the PS2 also that both of them is current gen coz in the PS2 version u can find quick strike ball handling which is not in the PC version i realy hate EA sport and i still hoping the 2k sport will release thier games to PC soon.

no 2K sports on PC they said it on their own boards.

So you'll have to get a console.

But this is stupid to charge more than $10 for an nba live that looks like 2005.

1st: The game is not ported from next-gen 'cause EA finds the PC market a "casual gamers" market, meaning they won't get as much money as in the PS3 XBOX-360.

2nd: PS2 version doesn't include Quickstrike Ballhandling or Own The Paint, the game is exactly the same as PC version.

I'm not defending EA, but this are the facts and we need to live with them. (Or buy a console and 2K8)

The PS2 version does not include quick-strike ballhandling. It's the same old freestyle dribbling system. There are some blended collision animations, but they are nothing like quick-strike ballhandling in the 360/ps3 versions, and those blended collision animations were in the PC version of 07, also.

I seriously can not understand why those guys from EA don't hire someone like Andrew or Andreas Dahl to join their team.

If you see what those (and most of the others on this forum) can do with their patches in a few days.. Imagine what they could mean to EA if they worked a few months on next versions Live.

Unbelievable that EA doesn't read this forum, cuz If they did.. They would have fixed bugs in Live which you can find every year again in every PC version of Live.

Instead of making decent rosters with updated ratings.. they only fix the eye-candy in the game (N) (which is nice, but not more important than all the bugs)

They don't care.

It's not just andrew, I'm one who spots bugs and problems instantly in games and especially in Live. Being a life long basketball player I also know how these games should feel and Live is way off, 2K is not there all the way either.

But EA doesn't care about that, they don't want gamers or talented basketball IQ's there to help them, they want money and are too lazy to care.

Though now, Live is their worst sports franchise.
