Talk about NBA Live 08 here.

Again, year after year EA SPORTS CONTINUES to screw fans. My friend called me today to let me know that he got the Pre-release version of live 08 - (PC VERSION) No surprise to me, but they obviously took out (Online Play). I wonder why? could it be the F12 lag button, could it be EDITING ROSTERS? could it be the disconnect cheats you can pull in the game? You no longer can sign into a EA SERVER to play anyone, they pulled online play completely. I have been playing live since 1995 , and i should have stopped playing along time ago. Instead of EA addressing the issues they had, they crawled under a rock and decided to give up. Not releasing Online Play is totally WRONG since we are in an age where everything is about playing opponents "Online" but, again EA SPORTS has reverted back to the stone ages by only letting you only direct connect to a player using an IP address, how messed up is that? Thats 5 year old technology. Its obvious they didnt want to take the time to correct the game. The reason more and more players stopped playing this game is they were sick and tired of getting cheated while playing online. I have turned to a new game online called "Freestyle Street Basketball", Which is way better in the fact you cant cheat. If EA had any brains, they would have implemented a "Hack Sheild" program, sort of like "Punk Buster" , then they would have had a great game. But they are focusing more on ther console games, and forgetting there true fans that have been with them since DAY ONE. I hope EA SPORTS GOES bankrupt, The only real good games is 2K series and "Freestyle" now. I am so dissapointed in them, if you only knew how frustraited i am, i can really put into words here, but you get the idea. all you fans of NBA LIVE know what im talking about, cause you have been playing for a long time, I will never buy another game from that company, EA totally blows.

I know what you're talking about brutha. I've been playing Live since before it was called live . "Live 94" was called NBA Showdown. Before that it was Lakers v. Celtics.
Ever since Live 95 (which I bought for SNES), I've been playing on the PC and every single year, they've improved some things and taken away other things. As I said many times, one year they'd miraculously get rebounding correct and then the following year, it would suck balls. Same with assists, defense, freestyle, etc. If these idiots actually stopped by this website once in awhile and figured out what features we liked and didn't like, they'd have all the market research they needed. Andrew is providing them a free service that other companies have to pay "mystery shoppers" and test guinea pigs to do.
But they don't care about PC users. The real money's in the XBOX360 and PS3.

is this true?? theres no online play??
if it is, then there is no point in buying this game..

There still is direct connection, and it's all i care for online leagues. Didn't even check possibility for EASO, but now to think of it - haven't seen the option there.

wanna play online with edited rosters?
folllow this:
1) edit your rosters and save it
2) exit on windows enter into documents/nbalive/saves/ your edited rosters saved and copy EVERYTHING you gonna find there
3) paste and overwrite all that into documents/nbalive/database/originaldb folder
if the game takes info from original rosters give him different original rosters

is there a way to edit "default" sliders so when we play online games he uses the "default edited" sliders... cause is ridiculous playing online with longe range slider set in 20... impossible to make three points ;/
