NBA LIVE 08 PC - Positive impressions

I have been barely playing this game, because it's like 4 hours i have it..but..
there's one thing:

Classic Teams. haven't tried it out, they aren't existent in teams.dbf, but all the players are THERE! from what i've seen there are couple of celtics teams, couple of lakers, chicago 96, detroit 88 (or 89), houston 95, sixers 83. there are 9 teams.
the bad: i already checked, though the ratings and even player packages are there, i couldn't find .fsh files for those players.
the good: we could use ratings, appearance data, or maybe even speech files if we make retro updates.

from what i've seen i also liked menu screens, and some new camera angles. and despite it's the transition from 07 live, it's a better one than the previous one 06 to 07.

hey man just got a question..how about the crossover move?can you do it just like
in 06? coz i can't do it in 07..and how about the gameplay where can you compare it most?06 or 07? tnx..

gameplay is much better. i like the rebounding, because now it's more realistic.

Not as long it's the original Copy.

Not according to some other people who claim to have hard copies of the game.

yet i agree that this version is what live 07 should have been..

ultranix..how about the crossover move and the defense? how is it?

Crossover/Freestyle ballhandling is exactly the same of 07.
IMO defence is much better, especially if you set to 90-95 both "Physical Defense" sliders (you/cpu).

Thats what I hate in 07..when you try to get away with your defender,you might end up losing the ball or you get an offensive foul..tsk tsk..it seems like
08 was just an outdated update of 07...how about the graphics man?we all know that the graphics of 06 was far better than 07 ..how is it in 08?

Graphics are exactly the same too... Just the menus have a different look, but no real improvement at all. However, there are some good new player's animation (very few).

The fans look way better (no more flat-standing-rows, you know).

the layups are better. the flow of the game is better as well, i already mentioned the cam, which is now better. and a bunch of other things. i can now say - i love this game

Why?what do you hate about this game?Please specify cause I'm planning of buying the game..If it's not worth my money,then I will just continue playing 06 and wait for ReMix patches..

if a game that crashes after time outs is worth your money, then go ahead, make ea's day...

If they release a patch for the timeout bug.. I might buy this game..

But i agree.... without simulation and crashe problem....Live is also good! But man....this 2 problems are 90% of the game! :s

well i got the game today..... with some editing it looks very playable however some issues are

- no salary info when making a trade
- players on FT line don't move and it is hard to switch out to a perimeter player
- menus aren't user friendly at all.....way too many pop-ups!

Yep. For some reason you can't get in the paint before the shot hit the rim, but afaik only the FT shooter should follow this rule...
