If you haven't heard, the announcement today is that there will be an upgrade patch in November for the Xbox360 and PS3 which will allow online play between 10 separate players, each user being able to lock onto one player.
This is an awesome feature and I was about to jump for joy until I read that PC users need not apply. Wow. Talk about a bitch-slap to the face. What is it about the PC that makes us the Tito's of the Jackson family? Is it because the profit margins are really that low? Or because there are no other bball sim options? 2K Sports DO YOU FREAKING HEAR US??????????
PC Gamers are generally more mature and well-off (can afford more shit because a PC costs about 2x the price of the most expensive console). Why is this segment being ignored by sports game developers? There's no pro baseball game on the PC anymore. The football graphics in Madden were crap.
You know, I'm reduced to playing 3-on-3 half-court Freestyle Street Basketball by Sierra Online. You should all try it. It's free to try and, while the graphics are cartoonish, it's plenty fun knowing that the other
5 players are actual people.
F*** you EA. I never once pirated NBA Live ever (in 10 years) because I thought my revenues would go towards good development, but this year I just may "borrow" the game from my local Library.
