WNBA teams next?

With the addition of 8? fifa teams in this years nba live game, i can only wonder how long it will take EA to add WNBA to the game. Im pretty sure they wont make a lone WNBA game due to predictable low sales. But adding WNBA to nba live would most likely boost sale if even a little. There are female gamers out there, i would guess most play hardcore games, rather then the stereotypical cookin with mama type girly games. NBA live is still getting to the point where its on the same level in features and modes as last gen systems, so including fifa and wnba teams arent that far off i wouldnt think. They already have a handfull of wnba players in NBA Street for next gen. Though it was only like 6 players. I dont think it would be that hard to at least put the wnba teams and players in the game, even if you can only play exhibition and playoff modes with them. It would be a step in the right direction, for nba, wnba, and at least giving the wnba audience something to play.

NBA Live is hardly a "hardcore" game.

Were you not just whining about how it's racist to make a football game that focuses on a black audience? Yet, you think girls automatically want to play with WNBA teams, or that they would bring in a girl audience.

I dont think it would be that hard to at least put the wnba teams and players in the game, even if you can only play exhibition and playoff modes with them.

You would have to completely rewrite the gameplay engine for their earthbound, crawl paced style of play. Along with all sorts of different animation sets...and models.

I suppose it's a possibility given that some WNBA players were featured in Homecourt but I think we'll be seeing more international squads and teams like the adidas/RBK All-Stars before WNBA teams (or perhaps a WNBA All-Star squad) make the cut.

Off topic: Why the hell is lithuiania not in nba live 08... i rather have them then italy... i mean their skooling in the eurobasket and the only reason they did bad on the fiba tournement was that they were playing without their star player...

Italy is in because they won World Cup silly.

More than a couple of teams have been snubbed but apparently the inclusion of FIBA teams this year is a taste of things to come owing to the fact the license was acquired late in the proceedings. The producer blog over at IGN that dealt with FIBA teams seemed to indicate there would be a larger selection of teams and features beginning with NBA Live 09.
